  1. Kevin Drum at Mother Jones describes how Republicans think.

These guys wreck the economy, and then complain that Obama hasn't fixed it fast enough. They blow a hole in the deficit, and then complain that Obama hasn't quite filled it yet. They pursue a disastrous war in Iraq, and then complain that Obama ruined it all by not leaving a few more brigades behind. They twiddle their thumbs over Iran, and then complain that Obama's nuclear deal isn't quite to their liking.

It's hard to believe that even their own supporters still listen to a word they say. And yet, somehow, conservative rage toward Obama for wrecking the country continues unabated. Truly, conservatism can never fail, it can only be failed.

    1. Doesn't change the the fact that her handling of it shows that she's learned nothing since her failed campaign for the nomination in 2007/8, that she will probably run the same kind of campaign in the general if she wins the nomination, possibly with the same results.

      1. So, from now on, whenever Republicans invent a new "scandal" that is hyped by the media to boost sales, HRC should simply apologize for the double sin of doing no wrong, and even worse, not anticipating that her actions could be so easily twisted into something nefarious.

I think she'll get the message now.  Just because she's paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get her…

PS. Did you see the article in TIME magazine this week about her "rapid response" guy — former GOP dirty trickster, now HRC consultant?  Sad to say our political process has devolved to this level thanks to the GOP.

  2. That looney clerk in Kentucky has announced that she will not try to stop her deputies from issuing licenses to same sex couples but she then offered her gratutious opinion that they are not valid.

She's entitled to her opinion on this just as she is on when life begins (I imagine at conception), evolution (I'm guessing she's against), global warming (she's probably a skeptic) and the shape of the earth (it wouldn't surprise me if she thinks it's only a theory that it's round).

Her opinion only becomes a problem if she's ever appointed to a judgeship. Of course if that happenes, rapture is just around the corner…..

    1. She won't stop her deputies, but she altered the legally required wording on the form, removing her title as well as her name from the document (i.e. the license was not issued under authority of the office of County Clerk as required by law). Rather, she has replaced that authority with "under court order".

The ACLU is beginning to have doubts about the legality of the new forms.

        1. Sure she is PR…just like some cops get in in their heads that they ARE the law…and some preachers get in in their heads that they ARE God…

This pathetic woman is a disgrace and is repulsive at every level.
