The media is paying no attention to the Congressional race in the 6th District (CD6). People think they know about Mike Coffman (R). But no coverage has been applied to his Democrat opponent. It is as if there is no race here. But there is.

And why does the Colorado Democratic Party not engage in any action to support its own candidate in CD6? No money, no words, no nothing. They value a Democratic appointment to the Secretary of State’s office more than expanding the majority in Congress. What exactly does a Secretary of State in Colorado do? And what does a Congressperson do?

Hank Eng would get support from the party if he actually made an attempt to run for Congress.

He’s not out there, working hard, however. He put his name on the ballot. Good, Hank’s a good guy. That does not mean he’s entitled to financial support. Hank Eng will show up to Democratic Party picnics for 6 hour chunks; that’s not campaigning.

Who is Hank Eng? More importantly, why is Hank Eng running for Congress, instead of the state house or senate?

It may be possible somewhere along the line for Democrats to win CD-6. Hank Eng, however, is not the candidate to do so. He’s the nicest guy, but he’s not entitled to our support when the party can focuse on more viable races.
