New Drinking Liberally group - SPORTING Liberally(w/Obama video)

Howdy Y’all!

if after Eating, Drinking, Shooting, Laughing, Screening, et cetera-ing Liberally, you still haven’t found a place to do your thing liberally, starting Monday you will be able to Sporting Liberally which, is kinda all of ’em combined.

Join us at Jack N Grill, 8pm, at 2524 Federal Blvd in Denver, to watch the Broncos face the Raiders. Sporting Liberally gives like-minded, left-leaning individuals a place to do politics and sports. If we get a good crowd, we’ll be doing this every time the Broncos play. Our host is DL regular Wade Norris who also hosts Ultimate Politics Saturday mornings on 1510 AM – Mile High Sports Radio.

SPORTS AND POLITICS ANYONE?

Can Liberals talk sports? Who says they can’t?

On September 8th, at 8pm, Denver will host the first chapter of Sporting Liberally, during the Broncos season opener as they face the Oakland Raiders. An offshoot of the 5 year old organization Drinking Liberally, which now boasts nearly 300 chapters nationwide, Sporting Liberally is the latest spoke of progressive social groups, Living Liberally. Sporting Liberally gives like-minded, left-leaning individuals a place to talk politics and sports.

Sporting Liberally is the concept of Wade Norris, host of Ultimate Politics, on 1510 AM – Mile High Sports Radio as a challenge to the misconception that sports fans are mostly republicans.  A Broncos fan himself, Mr. Norris is proof positive that liberals enjoy a good game as much as anyone.

Mr. Norris joined forces with John Erhardt, a regular guest on his show, and organizer of the Statewide Drinking Liberally clubs. Now, for the first ever Sporting Liberally is scheduled to coincide with every Broncos game this season at highly awarded bar and grill, Jack N Grill at 2524 Federal Blvd in Denver, just minutes from Mile High Stadium. Liberals, progressives and democrats of all stripes are welcome to watch each game alongside local celebrities, including candidates, elected officials, and even some former Broncos.

“If you have any doubt about democratic sports talent,” Mr. Norris says, “watch that video of Barack Obama shooting that three pointer in Kuwait.”
