  1. My 14-year-old son and I were sitting in the same section (or so it appears) but my cell phone picture was crap.  It sure was a beautiful sight, and a wonderful night!

  2. from Fox News (via TPM)

“The Republicans can’t seem to get a break when it comes to August and when it comes to the weather,” said Rove, a FOX News analyst. “I know this is being thought a lot about in Washington and at the White House and discussed and I suspect they will monitor it carefully and figure out what to do.”

    1.    Between the gathering hurricane reminding voters of “Heck-of-a-Job Brownie” and Katrina, along with James Dobson’s unanswered prayers for rain last night on Obama’s speech, you gotta wonder whether God is a Democrat!

  3. …I think everyone involved with planning, setting-up and pulling off this huge event should get a “job well done”.

A few minor glitches here and there (mainly overzealous police), but overall I don’t think anyone dreamed it would have gone any better.

Hopefully, everyone who came enjoyed their stay in the Queen City of the Plains–and spent lots of $.  Also, perhaps now we can shake some of the sleepy cowtown identity.

    1. There were only 152 arrests! They wasted all that time and money on the “gitmo on the platte” facility, and then they didn’t even need to use it.

I think the police, aside from a few bumper sticker-related incidents, did a remarkable job. Monday night notwithstanding.

      1. I can’t think of anything more positive than what took place this week in Denver.

I am so proud to be an American.

I am so proud to live in Colorado.

I am so proud to be a Democrat.

I am so proud for Denver.

        It’s just been wonderful.

        1. I was talking with my wife, my friends, and some strangers, and we were all talking about those things Fidel.

The most important thing is that they can’t take it away from us now.

No matter what happens in November, whether Obama wins or loses, we will always have last night as a pure moment of joy for the Democratic party.

I have never been more proud to be a Coloradoan, or an American.

    2. Denver is great as a cowtown.  It sucks when boosters and homesick immigrants try to make it into somewhere else.  One thing we don’t need is a bunch more people moving here thinking it is NYC lite with mountains who’ll be disappointed when they find it is nothing like NYC.
