Acknowledging El Paso County Commissioner Wayne Williams in defeat of 4th District DA John Newsome

On behalf of Dan May’s supporters, commendations to you for your very early assistance in the 2008 race as well as your loyalty in the 2004 race.  While others helped expose Newsome you appear to deserve special recognition for your behind the scenes involvement that helped bring Newsome down.  May Dan May do a better job than Newsome as we need it.  May he not violate our trust. The people have spoken!

    Be gracious in victory – it doesn’t cost you anything and it buys you a lot. This just makes both you and Dan May look like dicks.

    Good grief!  Get a grip NEWSMAN, or should I say, Wayne?  The only person who would describe Wayne Williams as a principled straight shooter is Wayne Williams.

    Please.  This guy’s fingerprints are all over the whole “Dan May rides in on his white horse” garbage.  Williams is one of the most self-serving, manipulative, dishonest men in leadership in El Paso County.  

    Since the primaries are over, everyone please quit drinking the Kool-aid and snap out of it!

      I have known Wayne Williams for several years, his wife Holly and his family.  I disagree with Wayne frequently. BUT…

      Wayne is and has demonstrated all the things I have listed on many occasions.

      It was Wayne that orchestrated the retraction and restatement of position by Greg Garcia, which saved Greg and the party from a full recall movement. I know some people that were a little unhappy with Wayne for saving Garcia from himself.  

      I on the other hand appreciate that Wayne acted for the good of the party.

    Did Dan May and Wayne Williams ride in on the same white horse?  I shudder to think what would happen to El Paso County, save the entire state, if Wayne Williams didn’t save the day!  Why don’t we just annoint him the great, all-knowing savior and get it over with.

    Guess what.  People can think without Williams telling them how.  I’m sure Garcia makes decisions and goes to the bathroom without Wayne’s help.

    Wow, I sat out the primary season and took a break from this stuff for quite a while.  I come back and nothing’s changed.  

    Williams always will be a self-serving shyster.
