Really???
Congressman Tipton is contemptible in his disregard for what’s best for his constituents. Since I live in his district, I joined his e-mail list to see what he’s for – and against – and I never fail to be dismayed.
I hate seeing him run unopposed in any election, but do not the CO and National Dems see the value in challenging every Republican-held seat in the country?
It is arrogant of Tipton to say that, but then he’s an arrogant SOB. As far as US Senate 3 goes, Dems fumbled running a viable candidate.
Buffie McFadyen would have been good, but came in too late, then bowed out at the mere hint of scandal. IMHO, it would have been better to tough it out. But she’s doing a good job in her Commissioner position.
Tapia was solid, ran a tough campaign, but came in too late to do it.
In a presidential year election, depending on who’s at the top of the ticket, and with a strong, well-financed candidate, Dems could take the district.

Dems could take the district with a good candidate like Tapia if they would get off their collective arse and get back to some good hard core retail politics. The same is true in local elections at least in Mesa County. Where is the GOTV for the two Dems in this years city election?
Yay! Chris Kennedy is running for HD23! Chris is a savvy politician, progressive, and a “rubber meets the road” organizer. He’ll do well in 23. Like his Facebook page to help.

. . . all a big mistake, really. Just felt a divine leading to clarify that their religious liberty law is really about letting Home Depot and Hobby Lobby (and every other devout business, of course) refuse to emplot anyone who uses birth control.

Actually, it pays pretty well. There’s about $200,000 in a GoFundMe account to help them out.
Problem only partially averted, Dio. Indiana still has no civil rights law protecting GLBT people from discrimination. All this did was keep people from citing this particular law as a defence. They can still hate on queers, they just can’t say “Jesus made me do it.”
And the story about the pizza joint? It’s mean of me, I know, but that makes me happy.
DIA is running ads bragging about how green they are. And they list a lot of good things. However, they do fall down on one significant issue – not enough electric vehicle car chargers.
There’s so few you can’t drive to DIA in an EV if you must get a charge to get home because the odds are, none will be available. They should charge for using them at a high enough rate that they’re profitable. And then they’ll keep adding them until they have more than enough.
And more than enough is probably about 20X what they presently have.
Moral of that story might be, don’t buy inferior technology?

In other news, many Amish now completely refuse to fly out of DIA. Seems that they are upset because the airport has insufficient horse boarding and too few stables . . .
Yep, first generation is never as good as second. But imagine the screaming if the gas station out there only handled 20 cars/hour.
Gas cars require us to have a giant military presence in the Middle East. Electric cars merely require charging stations, that DIA can make a profit on.

Are you insinuating that Jeb Bush lacks strong convictions? Well, we’ve already had the Bush brother who had very strong, as well as extremely wrong, convictions.
Dubya had all the deep personal convictions Cheney told him to . . .
But at the end of the day, Dubya was “the Decider.” Once Cheney told him what the decision was.
