something to distract us from the all-encompassing election. I like politics as much as the next guy, but starting the first night of the DNC it’s not going to let up until election night.
Hopefully, we’ll have some “feel good” stories come out of it. Like Dana Torres winning a gold for all of us 40 somethings.
Phelps breaking Mark Spitz’s record for most gold medals by an individual athlete? I’m also curious to see if the best basketball players in the world can beat a bunch of scrubs (they had trouble last time.)
…I’ll definately be rooting for him. I think his chances at breaking the record come down to how well his relay partners swim.
If the NBA all-star team doesn’t win, I say we go back to college kids. Enough of doing the NBA’s marketing for them.
