“Everyone in the world knows a JR.”

  1. Isn’t that special.  When I think ‘Larry Hagman’,  I’m thinking “I Dream of Jeanie”.  I’ll just leave it at that. JR’s are so common.

  2. This should probably go on the “Get More Smarter” thread, but that usually isn’t posted by the time I leave for work.

Cory Gardner posted this interview with Neil Cavuto on his Facebook feed, regarding the future of Obamacare and ramifications if Supreme Court undercuts financing.

Partial transcript (all questions and responses paraphrased)

Gardner Cavuto interview (all questions and answers paraphrased)

NC: 16 Million enrolled, Obamacare seems successful on its anniversary, what’s your response?

CG: People got elected, I got elected, opposing Obmacare. Pres shouldn’t take credit, people faced legal penalties if they didn’t enroll.

NC: What about the six million that would lose their health insurance?

CG: Embracing reality: People did get their health insurance canceled.

NC: Will Repubs have a plan if Ocare is undermined by Supreme Court?

CG: Repubs will have a plan.

NC But you know Obama wants to blame you. Do Repubs have a health care plan?

CG: Repubs will have a plan. They will have it ready to go by the time this ruling is made.Trillion dollars in debt added, blab la.

Coy Gardner still relies on the propaganda technique of repeating the Big Lie (millions in health care canceled, costs gone up, trillion dollars in debt, etc,

    1. Those people who face those penalties for not enrolling are the same people who, despite their best intentions, get sick/injured and end up in hospital emergency rooms without insurance. They rant about personal responsibility but when the $30,000+ bill for the fractured femur surgery comes in and they can’t pay the bill, they file what is known amongst debtor-creditor lawyers as a “medical bankruptcy.” (How’s that for personal responsibility?) The hospital and the surgeon then recoup their loss by jacking up the prices charged to those of us with insurance. That’s the system Con Man wants to go back to.

BTW, those penalties are relatively inexpensive for what the penalized deadbeat will be getting in free health care when illness or injury occurs.

  3. I have said before, but it bears repeating…

I have known Cory Gardner for many years, since he was a Colorado State Representative.

Cory Gardner wouldn’t know the truth if it sat in his lap and called him “papa”….

      1. these guys lie like they breath. But “both sides do it” because Obama stupidly said you could keep your inferior health plan that was likely to send you into bankruptcy.

Ted Cruz tells some lies about his awesome entry into the prez contest:

[T]here were some hilarious little omissions:

“It is breathtaking and it’s encouraging,” Cruz said on NBC of how his announcement was received by the large crowd at the conservative Christian college. “I’ll tell you, the energy and the exhilaration there yesterday and we’re seeing on the trail takes your breath away.”

So, so encouraging that when you go to a hotbed of conservatism and the students are required to attend your speech—will be fined if they don’t attend your speech—you have a large and enthusiastic audience. And if some of them were wearing Rand Paul t-shirts and others were snarking and complaining on social media, that’s a detail Cruz can ignore. Because he got his telegenic attendance-required audience, and that’s all he really needs to be able to humble-brag on the morning shows.

  4. Well, here’s something we all already know but bears repeating. The states most dependent on the feds and other people’s tax dollars are the red ones. Duh.  Pretty much the same as the Walmart model. If your policies mean your people can’t get by let the government subsidize you but don’t let that interfere with your anti-government rhetoric or votes. It’s the all hypocrisy all the time and bet (rightly) that people are too ignorant to notice system of concentrating wealth, keeping as much of it as possible out of the hands of the rabble while you use Jesus, guns and “freedom” to get the rabble to keep you in power over them with their votes.
