  1. Climat Change is a Big Issue for Hispanics

Mr. Padilla’s concern is echoed by other Hispanics across the country, according to a poll conducted last month by The New York Times, Stanford University and the nonpartisan environmental research group Resources for the Future. The survey, in which Mr. Padilla was a respondent, found that Hispanics are more likely than non-Hispanic whites to view global warming as a problem that affects them personally. It also found that they are more likely to support policies, such as taxes and regulations on greenhouse gas pollution, aimed at curbing it.

Just when will the Republicans put their big boy panties on?

      1. Over-consumption of watermelons (the fruit that many think is a vegetable and the official crop of Dumphuckistan)  can lead to diarreah – that explains why they have to hold an annual 'hunt' on the mangy plant.  That, Dio, is the last lesson I'll offer on that topic today (and it explains why those gun-toting freedumb lovers are so confused about a wide array of topics; they can't even classify their 'kill').

  2. Conservatives misleading the Supreme Court in latest Obamacare legal challenge

Ms. Luck’s address was used by her attorneys and the government to calculate the cost of insurance plans for people her age in her ZIP Code, as well as the value of insurance tax credits. That information was relevant for determining whether Ms. Luck’s situation qualified her to be a plaintiff in the case. Her right to bring the case, or “standing,” already had been subject to questions during earlier stages of the litigation on whether she was exempt from the penalty for not buying coverage because her income was too low.

The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that two male plaintiffs in the case could also be subject to a dispute over their legal standing to sue, because as Vietnam veterans they likely qualified for care through the Department of Veterans Affairs that would fulfill the law’s requirement for them to have coverage or pay a penalty.

Will the Supes fall for this misleading information on the standing of the plaintiffs? Or are they hell bent on killing Obamacare no matter the facts?

Do Conservatives in congress have any concern? No, there is no replacement law, though their Dupes believe they intend to fix it. Are their Dupes here that dumb? It appears so.

Righties hate Obamacare because Obama, and because it actually helps some of the poorest among us to stay healthy, and they want to kill it even though it helps those giant corporations that R's love best. And they are even willing to mislead the Supreme Court to achieve a legal kill.

      1. Do you mean to tell me that the Insurance Companies who benefit by health insurance being mandatory think cancelling their gravy train is absurd?

        Who would have thought?

        1. Now it's not just big government but the big insurance industry you guys are wigging out about?  How do you people sleep at night?  (I know, with your bible beside your bed and your glock under the mattress.)

    1. And the 4th plaintiff said her income comes from substitute teaching. The district says she made less than $10k, which would mean that she's exempt from having to purchase insurance.

      1. Me too. My extended family went through battling one crazy, delusional daughter in a similar situation. Fortunately it didn't require courts because her father had sole authority and her mother had a living will but her hysterics and despicable accusations made her mom's last days unspeakably horrible for all concerned. For his sponsoring of completely inappropriate state interference in that family's tragedy, I'd be happy to see Jeb rot in hell.

  3. At least they are not your state legislators.

"A year after a toxic leak contaminated drinking water for 300,000 residents, West Virginia lawmakers are considering a series of proposals that would weaken a new chemical tank safety law, remove stronger pollution protections for streams across the state, and protect the coal industry from enforcement actions over violations of water quality standards."
