I've written Clinton's victory speech to Super Delegates

Thank you West Virginia!

You have sent a message to the Automatic Delegates to the Democratic National Convention In Denver.

You have told them that the primary caucuses- the ones that gave Obama an artificial lead in our primary contest- Do Not Count! They mean nothing.

You have told them that Florida and Michigan do count and those states’ delegates should be seated.

And most important, today you have told the elected officials who are automatic delegates to our convention that Barack Obama cannot win in the fall.

No wonder Senator Obama won’t comment tonight on how West Virginia voted today. He’s in denial. His head is deep in the sand.

In almost every important state where all the people voted-not just a few caucus goers-they have said loudly and clearly that I should be your presidential nominee in 2008.

You and they know I can beat John McCain in November. Obama can’t.

The question, ladies and gentlemen, is this: Are the automatic candidates listening? Are they thinking about the future of America and of the world, or are they voting their false hopes and wishes for a fairy tale?

I hope and pray here tonight that the elected officials who hold the future of our party and our country in their hands get your message.

I expect and predict that they will. They will nominate me.

The writing on the wall is so clear that no one can miss your message.

Obama may have a nice poll showing that he’s winning 51% to 44%  against McCain today. But no one who depends on one race to put him over in the top in primaries can beat Senator McCain.

No one who depends on the young who don’t turn out in general elections can beat Senator McCain.

And Senator Obama’s failure to understand our place in the world, our leadership role and the national security threats presented by al Qaeda and our other enemies in the world can beat Senator  McCain.

Only I can beat Sen. McCain. I will get us out of Iraq and ensure the country that we will be safe and prosperous in a dangerous and competitive world.

You know it. I know it, and the automatic delegates know it.

Now we’ll see whether the automatic delegates have the wisdom and courage to make me their nominee. If they want to beat John McCain, they will.

Again, I am confident the automatic delegates will do the right thing and nominate me.

Now, we’re all very proud Americans.

Let’s salute the Red, White and Blue and God Bless America!

  1. She is saying that democracy doesn’t matter.  It doesn’t matter who actually won in the delegate count. It doesn’t matter who actually won the popular vote.  It doesn’t matter who won the most contests.

All that matters is that party insiders can decide who they think will win an election six months in the future, based on polling data that will have no bearing six months from now.

Does any Clinton supporter find this un-American?

This is the exact scenario that will cause me not to support the Democratic nominee – doesn’t her camp see this?
