At Least He's Not Your Candidate...

Meet Tax Dodger Al Franken, D-Mn

Democrat tax dodger Al Franken slapped with $70k in unpaid back income tax.

First it was workers comp, now its cheating on income taxes.

Democratic party US Senate candidate, Al Franken says he will pay about $70,000 in back income taxes in 17 states going back to 2003.

The Minnesota Democrat has been under attack for failing to file tax returns for several years when the comedian-turned-candidate earned money in several states.

Franken tells The Associated Press he never intended to avoid paying taxes.

This comes on the heals of revelations that Franken failed to pay workers comp for his employees.

Democrat Farm Labor (DFL) Senate candidate Al Franken owes a $25,000 penalty to the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board for failing to carry workers’ compensation insurance for employees of his namesake corporation from 2002 to 2005.

Franken says that after he pays off the back taxes, he plans to file for credit on taxes overpaid elsewhere.

No wonder Franken didn’t want the Bush tax cuts. He had his own personal

“Tax cut” plan.

  1. it isn’t his fault. It is his accountants fault. Yeah that’s it, his accountant is responsible.

So he will step up and take full responsibility, but none of the blame.

    1. the main alternative (Ciresi) has already dropped out to give Franken a clear shot, leaving him as the only one in the race. For better or for worse (and it looks like for worse), Franken will probably be in this until the end.
