LifeBridge’s puppet corporation 4C bailed out of it’s annexation effort and it looked like the project was dead.

Well… as anyone that’s read the Bible knows, there’s often a surprise in the second reel. Sure enough, the moribund project has resurfaced – in Firestone. Aptly-named since the developers are the kind of critters that crawl out from under rocks. ‘Firestone’ to me sounds like ‘brimstone’… and it’s also very apt in this hellish situation.

The City of Firestone’s leaders have proposed an annexation (*gasp!*) – a ‘flagpole’ annexation that’s nothing more than a cheesy landgrab – right up to the edge of Union Reservoir.

I have to admire their tenacity, but it kinda blows the whole ‘we want to work with the community’ jingo since now they’re working AGAINST Longmont. Well, I guess when your faith is tested sometimes you look for someone else to pray to… or ON.

People of Firestone, wake up, there’s a scam in progress and it involves your taxes.

Stand up and demand that this pathetic scheme be stopped RIGHT NOW.
