  1. Now Bush is telling Iraq’s “democracy” that HE doesn’t like who they’ve selected as prime minister and that HE will no longer accept or support the current guy staying in the job.

What about the 66% of Americans who don’t think King George should be President?  And more importantly, is Bush nuts?

How do we, with a straight face, claim that Iraq is a new democracy when we are hand-picking the leader of said democracy? According to the news the other night, if we lose the Shi’ites, we’ll double the number of insurgents. This is what our fearless “leader” wants?!!!

Impeach him, before he starts WWIII. What a collosal blunder.

  2. What do these folks have in common?

    Bruce Benson

    Bill Owens

    Bob Beauprez

    Chris Paulson

    Cinamon Watson

    Jake Zambrano

    Gary Hart

    Bill Clinton

    Jesse Jackson

    John F. Kennedy

    Ted Kennedy

    Robert Kennedy

  3. They all appear in a list that you just posted on CoPols, which will likely be followed by wild, unprovable accusations all to make you feel better about not being loved as a child???

  4. Overpopulation, scarcity of resources, equitable distribution of the fruits of labor…..

These are integral to the riots in France, the issue of immigration, abortion, war, the economy, the environment….etc., etc.

We need to make it a global issue.

  5. $6.592 trillion: Federal debt on June 26, 2003, the day Josh Bolten became director of the Office of Management and Budget.

    $8.364 trillion: Federal debt today.

In the Bush administration, this is grounds for a promotion.

  6. I thought that it was men and horses, trollpig, and the warning came from Rep. Welker.  Or was it Lundberg?  So many wingnuts, so little time.

  7. Imrie’s campaign should start a TV show – it could be the best man/animal companion show since BJ and the Bear.

Wait a minute – isn’t this man/mule thing what Dobson warned us all about? He was right! He was right! Hide your children! Hold on – maybe that was a man/turtle thing. I get them confused.

  8. I understand that the AFL-CIO, in addition to endorsing Perlmutter, also endorsed Paccione and Ritter.  The big news is that apparetnly, they also endorsed Ken Chlouber over whoever the Dem is that is running in that seat.

So much for the knock that unions only endorse Democrats.

  9. Wag, wag, wag,

Where is your sense of humor?  Do you have a problem with asses.  I say that the dems need to have a B.Y.O.A.-bring your own ass party…we could call it the assfest.  If that won’t lighten the mood, nothing would.

  10. Looks like Druid started drinking early today. A man and his mule…..

Hey wagtheblog – do you think Fawcett should be worried about Imrie? C’mon.

  11. Wagtheblog,

I ask for Pols to put Curtis Imrie on the CD 5 lineup and you are accusing me of making Bill Winter the “only fighting Dem in CO”?

Bill is in CD 6 NOT CD 5 right?  Hello!?

“The only lineup Imrie should be added to is a police lineup for the insane. People who bring an ass with them to events don’t want to and should not be taken seriously.”

I LOVE his donkey, ok.  You gotta problem with donkeys?  If so we are going to have words!

I hope that one day the streets of DC will echo with the hallowed clip clop of Imrie’s fighting donkey.  DC needs a mountian man from Granite to set them straight!

  12. wagtheblog,

His name is Bill Winter, not Winters.  (You can learn more about him at his website, http://www.winterforcongress.com/.)

Mike Miles isn’t running for office, and Jay Fawcett seems to enjoy sharing the limelight with Big Bill at “Fighting Dems” events, not fighting over who owns a mythical title.

    Eyes on the prize, folks.

  13. Druid,

The only lineup Imrie should be added to is a police lineup for the insane.  People who bring an ass with them to events don’t want to and should not be taken seriously.  And, Druid, we all know you work w/ Bill Winters (since you’re not a mule, you wouldn’t be employable in Imrie’s eyes), so stop trying to ignite controversy where there is none in an attempt to make Bill the only “Fighting Dem” in CO.  There’s plenty of room for Fawcett, Winters, Miles, Beauprez (oh, wait, he just dresses up like a vet) and anyone else.  And, no, I don’t work for Fawcett or anyone else.

  14. “Let’s just enforce the law.” AKA lets deport 11 million people. That is INSANE. Ask any immigration officer, or policeman. They will tell you the same thing.

    *****************

Where have YOU been?  We’re thousands short of ICE officers, and the police have been instructed NOT to enforce the law – instructed NOT to turn illegals over to ICE.

    THAT’s the decades-old insanity that’s led to today’s problem.

  15. Man for Peggy Lamm’s love of guns she sure can’t hit a target to save her life.  The piece in the Rocky today basically mocked her attempt to sling mud.  I can’t believe her campaign management team still have jobs after this and every other misstep that she has gone through (anybody remember the Channel 7 interview?).  You can file this story in either the “who cares” or the “whiney desperate candidate” file.  Either file would be fine, thank you.

Peggy, its time to step aside and let the REAL candidates through.  As an independent-minded 7th CD voter I am sick of this primary already, I am ready for the main attraction, Ed Perlmutter v. Rick O’Donnell.

  16. “He’s asking that the laws be enforced against ILLEGAL immigration.”

Yeah, but in a totaly unworkable and INSANE manner.  George Stephanopolis (spelling?) asken him flat out,

“Do you think that we should round up 11 million people and deport them based on their documentation?”

You should have seen Tancredo’s face!  HA!HA!HA!  He could NOT bring himself to say yes.  He mumbled something lame like, “Let’s just enforce the law.”  AKA lets deport 11 million people.  That is INSANE.  Ask any immigration officer, or policeman.  They will tell you the same thing.

  17. ‘I think sometimes (Tancredo) is perceived, at least by the public, as trying to keep all the immigrants out,” Allard said in an interview. “That’s something I don’t think we can do.’ “

    ***************

Druid, you’re reading things that aren’t there.

Tancredo has always been in favor of LEGAL immigrants in the USA.  Allard’s statement points out that the perception (in minds like yours) try to paint Tancredo as being anti-immigration, which he is not.

He’s asking that the laws be enforced against ILLEGAL immigration.

  18. Tancredo is truly LOOSING IT.  Does he really believe that the economy in Colorado can really take all of the undocumented workers being deported?  How does he plan to enforce it?

Even Allard is having concerns about Tiberius Tom.  From the RMN,

“On Monday, Allard rejected Tancredo’s hard-line approach.

‘I think sometimes (Tancredo) is perceived, at least by the public, as trying to keep all the immigrants out,” Allard said in an interview. “That’s something I don’t think we can do.’ “

    You go Wayne!

  19. Ah, Tricky Dick, okay, I get it. You meant “potatoe” to be significant in your post, given to whom you were addresing the comment. Okay. Sorry.

  20. Terror Squad?  You mean, like, Bin Laden and those guys?  Or is it Hamas?  Now I’m confused Dan, all this time I was supposed to thinking the WE are the bad guys?

    Go eat a Potatoe….

  21. How about let’s compromise…..Although the situation remains fluid – Bad choice of words and Cheney is still a creep, along with Rove and the rest of the Terror Squad.

  22. “Yeah, in real words, Fitzgerald is searching for a crime that hasn’t been committed.”

Ho, hum. Just more of the mindless commentary from the Right’s peanut gallery.

  23. “Yeah, in real words, Fitzgerald is searching for a crime that hasn’t been committed.”

Ho, hum. Just more of the mindless commentary from the Right’s peanut gallery.

  24. “Although the situation remains fluid,…”

    ***************

    ROFL

Yeah, in real words, Fitzgerald is searching for a crime that hasn’t been committed.

  25. “Although the situation remains fluid,…”

I read this to mean that they might be able to dodge a bullet if they rolled on their bosses.  Come on and admit it, we all know that Chaney is DIRTY.

  26. In lengthy interviews over the weekend and on Monday, sources close to the case said that Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has started to prepare the paperwork to present to the grand jury seeking an indictment against White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove or National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley.

Although the situation remains fluid, it’s possible, these sources said, that Fitzgerald may seek to indict both Rove and Hadley, charging them with perjury, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy related to their roles in the leak of Plame Wilson’s identity and their effort to cover up their involvement following a Justice Department investigation.

  27. Good to see the news about Treasurer Mike Coffman’s safe return from Iraq.  Welcome home Mike and good luck in your campaign for Secretary of State.
