Today’s open thread looks like one of skeptics diaries. Just an obervation.
from today’s NYT:

(Sorry I can’t provide a website address – read this in the print edition but can’t find it on the web site)
The Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition (PPFC) has endorsed Bruce’s opponent, Mark Waller, in the upcoming Republican primary for HD-15.
Long a bastion of support for D.B., the PPFC’s lack of support may be a harbinger of the coming demise of Dougiepoo. Even the traditional right wing supporters of the Dougster seem to be getting it.
he thinks the party is out to get him. He probably sees these kinds of endorsements as encouragement.
I would love to see that
a 1210 presidential ticket with Lamborn/Bruce as Libertarians? Scary.
I understand there’s a Dem already running in H.D. 15. If she ends up with 40%, the Kicker takes 25%, that only leaves the mainstream Republican with 35%.
But I could see how regardless of who wins, the race would be a three-ring circus.
I once told him that he was one of the worst things that could happen to a district.
Yeah, he was a real work.
Does anyone know if, indeed, he did quit the leg for family reasons? If if there were problems, is the family doing better?
May, btw, is the guy that Bruce tried to beat in a primary before he ran to become a county commisioner.
often refers to people as “a kick” when they are funny or just fun, pre-Bruce. Coincidence?
Couldn’t get 40% in 2006-if people have the alternative I have a hard time believing that the vote gets split that much
And a Republican here, and I’ve been lectured that Doug Bruce holds solid Libertarian beliefs. Soit makes sense to run in the party whose platform you agree with, rather than the one that’ll put you in office.
