The title describes my State Representative to a "T"
Thank you Ralphie. Now that's country music, not the easy listening shlock that passes for it today. One of the all time great songs. Patsy Cline was also an all time great and sang in a key I can sing along with when, as now, I'm completely alone. Well, except for the cats who will just have to deal with it. l really enjoyed that.
Don't think my own Rep. Coffman is crazy. Just a complete idiot.
Written by Willie Nelson in 1961.
He wrote a lot of the great ones. I can't stand contemporary country music
Yeah…it really isn't "country" music.
Alan Jackson pretty much sums it up in a tune called "Gone Country".
I grew up in eastern Kentucky listening to Buck Owens, Porter Waggoner, Ernest Tubb, and Loretta Lynn. As you say, what Nashville calls "country" music …isn't. IMHO
OK Polsters, what say you? Fan song or stalker song? Creepy or no?
Strikes me more as fan song satire.
Then the teacher told me/It had been a lot of fun/Thanked me for his ticket/And all that I had done…
Good advice for GOP Guvs Scott, Christie and Walker
Well, since Ralphie already stole “Crazy” this morning, I guess that that leaves this as the second-best-appropriate salute . . .
. . . please recognize the four members of the Castle Rock Town Council who voted their ideological beliefs that it’s a way teh awesome idea to allow eighteen year-olds to carry all types of firearms — unquestioned — into all of their city parks, recreation centers, town hall, police station, fire station . . .
Way to go, Mayor Donahue !!!!!!!!!!!!
(On second thought, maybe “Crazy” is the only appropriate salute left these days . . . ??)
Nothing like the Tres Hombres on a snowy day. Or any other day.
I love the music but, sadly, they are extreme righties. I try not to think about that when driving around with my fave, XXX, blasting away.
Righties, yeah. They're Texans. But also heavily involved in funding the Delta Blues Museum.
The Greatest hits, if you must. Not my faves.
