Sen. Coburn and Madison Project PAC send fund raising letter for Schaffer

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) and the Madison Project PAC sent an eight-page letter asking recipients to “send a note” with money to Schaffer in support of “Backwards Bob’s” senatorial campaign.

The letter says the liberals will wage a “dirty” campaign, and they’re already calling Schaffer Backwards Bob. The Backwards Bob tag is new to me. He is a Repulsive Republican Radical, and the letter confirms that.

So Backwards Bob is making no concessions to political reality. He’s sold out to the Madison Project and all the others who demand adherence to their social issues radicalism. As a PAC, Madison’s letter says, it can ask for up to $5,000 per person.

It will be interesting to see if Union Udall will move to the middle now that Backwards Bob is making it clear he will stand on his long-held social issues idiocy.

  1. The Radical Right position is increasingly toxic in statewide elections; Udall doesn’t need to move anywhere, he just needs to not screw up.

You have to hand it to Bob – he’s got enough integrity to stick by his positions no matter the race.  Nice and simple, no grand flip-flops – conflict-of-interest issue aside – he is what he is, and he’ll fall where he stands.

    1. His problem is that he’s not shifty enough. As noted above, he’s an honest guy who not very smart about the real world. He’s a fanatic, and no one can help him.
