Save the World in 5 Steps or Less

  • by: Yokel

I’ve long thought the biggest change is often the simplest change. And since we’re nominating Presidential candidates for 2024 this year, who doesn’t think they have all the answers?

So here’s the challenge – Save the World in 5 Steps or Less.

Yokel’s Plan to Save the World:
1. Enact the Fair Tax.
2. Limit employers to compensating employees in only time and cash money.
3. Limit all Congressional activities and spending to those specifically defined in the Constitution, and, per the 10th Amendment, send everything else “to the states respectively, or to the people.”
4. Repeal the 17th Amendment (and the 16th IAW step 1).
5. Create a new international governing body in place of the UN – one which only accepts member states from free peoples and societies which secure the classical rights of mankind in a consensual government, and accepts them regardless of political or sovereign status (think Kurds and Palestinians there). The body would be dedicated to enlarging the freedoms and securing the rights of mankind, worldwide.

  1. I have a few questions. First, the general question: It seems that you are taking about saving the US rather than the world (except number 5), or are does one lead to the other?

    Next the point specific ones:
1: Could you flesh this out a little bit? I know what the “fair tax” is, but Im curious as to your reasons for it.

2: What do you mean? Are you saying that you are against employer subsidised health insurance? And by time do you mean time off?

3: Does that include case law?

4: What is the reasoning behind this?

5: It seems that you have set an awfully lofty goal for this new governing body. First, who is to decide the definitions for “free peoples,” “classical rights of mankind,” “consensual government” etc.? Second, the body’s mandate is seems overly broadand undefined, how would this new body go about accomplishing its mandate?
