Interview, Paul Lopez - city council district 3, Joe Miklosi, Progressive Coalition

  • by: wade norris

Paul Lopez is a newly elected City Council member from District 3 in West Denver. He is a tireless activist who is looking to revitalize the area through a series of measures including strengthening community participation through a “community Congress”, cracking down on predatory or low value merchants, and increasing youth outlets and recreation centers.

Joe Miklosi brings nearly 10 years of political and six years of corporate experience to Progressive Majority as the Colorado State Director. In 2002, Joe was the Director of Operations for the Colorado House Majority Project (HMP) and was instrumental in helping the 2002 HMP pick up two seats in the State House. During the 2004 election cycle, Joe was the Executive Director of the Colorado House Majority Project. Joe helped engineer the takeover in the Colorado State House for the first time since 1974 by picking up a net gain of seven State House seats and winning 16 out of 17 targeted seats – the second most of any state legislative chamber in the nation.

I love it when the elected official is actually representing their constituents…
