The Glory of Mitt landed at Colorado Springs last night, supposedly because Mitt is running for president. However, it sounded like more of a nostalgia trip, since Mitt was reading off of an oh so 2002 script.
Romney called the Democrats “uncomfortable in recognizing the evil in the world,” and said, “I don’t think the world has seen the face of evil like this since the days of Hitler’s Holocaust ovens.”
Romney also continued his support of President Bush’s handling of national security, saying, “This president has made America safe.”
It’s hard to say who or what Mitt is attacking or defending, considering he’s honoring a president who has brought the National Socialists’ concept of “enhanced interrogation” to America’s shores. It’s especially good to hear that Mitt feels safe thanks to George Bush, since even Bush’s staff is admitting they’ve failed miserably in the fight against Al Qaeda.
Thanks for the memories, Mitt! To get even more old school, here’s some Mitt kitsch from when he ran to the left of Ted Kennedy:
