A challenge to "blah" & all Lamborn supporters. You're being called out. Again.

Blah, I’m calling you out by “name”.  And others like you as well–Lamborn supporters.  Answer a polling question–if you dare.

But first, let me say this.

Doug Lamborn and his supporters have consistently benefitted from outright lies, distortions, and falsehoods propagated against Lamborn’s opponents.  It’s a track record for which no one should be proud.  Lamborn and friends so benefitted in the race against Tom Ratterree.  Lamborn and friends so benefitted in the race against Jeff Crank.  Friends like Chuck Gosnell, Pat Toomey, the Hotaling Brothers–all peas in the same pod from which Lamborn was born.

It seems to be the modus operendi of getting Doug Lamborn elected in contested races–and certainly a testimonial to me personally as to why Doug Lamborn had no qualms showing up at Jack Abramoff’s old employer’s office today for a meet and greet, if it was held as planned–to engage in outright lies to win a race.  Blah, why don’t you slam Joel Hefley for not attending “meets and greets” at Abramoff’s old offices?  I guess Hefley just wasn’t your kind of guy, based on your comments elsewhere.  He wasn’t Abramoff’s.  He wasn’t Tom Delay’s.  He wasn’t Tom Feeney’s. [Has Lamborn repaid his friend, Feeney yet, and contributed to his legal defense fund?]

Blah, I’m calling you out by “name”.  I’ve asked you several times about this.  You’ve never answered.  But, I’m not just calling you out. I’m calling out each and every last Lamborn supporter who has an account on Coloradopols.com.  If you have such an account you can answer the polling question at hand that was included in this diary: http://www.coloradop…?  That diary is “off the front page” now, given it’s age, but, it’s still “live” and ballots can be cast and a new tally can then be reported in this current diary.

Blah, if you answer honestly, then instead of the current results of 12 against Lamborn and ZERO in his favor, that perfect score of 12 votes against Lamborn is going to go even higher.  It’s a unanimous tally at this time.  Blah, cast your ballot for Lamborn, if you are so inclined.  Apparently you did in 2006.  Are you afraid to do so now?  Go ahead, change the tally to 12 to 1, blah.  Or, you could choose to be honest and vote in 2007 on that polling question and keep the score perfectly against Lamborn. Make it 13 to 0.  And any other Lamborn supporter who wants to vote should do so as well. But, for me, Lamborn is about as believeable trying to present himself as a “porkbuster” on “earmarks” and his waste of taxpayer dollars on “franking privileges”, as he was believable in his “story” to Erin Emery in the polling question.  In fact, I just don’t believe him.  Not at all. Not one bit.

  1. nice poll, but we should move on. After all, Lamborn gives us enough material to work with. I’d love to see a big billboard bought right next to his office on I-25 that says something along the lines of “Lies of Lamborn: My opponent killed his wife…My opponent is gay…I am an effective Representative”.

  2. It’s possible that your poll is 12 to none because not everyone has read it or even perhaps that there are few R’s that post on here.  I’m a Lamborn supporter now, I was back then and will be 12 years from now when Doug is still in Congress.  He is not going anywhere anytime soon.  Most did not believe me on  here when I said he would win by 15 2 weeks from the election and most will not believe me now but the fact is that Doug has not made one vote contrary to what Crank or Bentley would have made.

    1. Oh Dougie, got to love him. I suppose I am one of those fools who believes there is more to being a congressman than just voting though, as I appreciate effective leaders who can actually carry on an intelligent conversation. I call the ability to converse with others an attribute of COMMON SENSE leadership, which Dougie mentions often but can’t seem to grasp.

And you’re right, Lamborn was imploding so I did not believe you. Lamborn won off of absentee ballots, but if you go by the votes cast on primary election day he lost hands down by the voters who saw him for what he really is. Had Crank’s campaign focused more on absentee voters like they should have I don’t think Lamborn would be having his two-year stint in Congress.

      1. Thats a fair argument about wanting more out of your Congressman.  Though it seems to me at this point that some are so caught up in this echo chamber about how bad he is that they would not give him credit if he started curing the diseased or feeding the poor.  I have a hard time believing that Crank would get this same treatment if he was in Congress and did exactly as Doug has these past 7 months.

        1. If his results were incredible or he simply started writing quality legislation I would try my hardest to give him credit.

Because of my background, I personally place a strong emphasis on public speaking ability. I want to be able to engage my representative and walk away from a speech or discussion thinking “Wow, I may or may not agree with him/her, but they sure made their points in a clear, concise, and sometimes even eloquent manner.”

  3. I held my nose, but I wasn’t voting for a Democrat.  If he’s the nominee, I will vote for him.  But if ANYONE challenges him, I will not not vote for him.

      1. I voted for Salazar over Coors because Salazar seemed better fit than Coors (who was pro lowering the drinking age, anti-death penalty), and I like some Dems like Romanoff and Ritter (but I did vote for BB).

But I doubt I would vote Dem for a U.S. House seat.  Ever.  The Dem leadership in the house is way too left for me, and I feel that a vote for a leg candidate is a vote for the party leadership, which I can’t support.
