If not, Lamborn should. It’s got a particularly unflattering ending comment regarding Lamborn that he won’t like at all.
The article by Glover, editor of the National Journal’s Technology Daily and the author of its Beltway Blogroll, is an insightful article on the revolutionary effects that bloggers are having in government.
Glover particularly focuses on the references that Congressmen make in the Congressional Record to blogs–like the reference Lamborn did on the “Porkbusters petition offering to help Congress to evaluate earmark requests” . . . and that’s where Lamborn gets teed up for what would have been a highly useful article to him as a supposed “porkbuster”–but for the concluding comment Glover published in reply to his article. Read it all here http://beltwayblogro….
Doug Lamborn is no “porkbuster”. But he is a “poser”. And a hypocrite. [Show us your pork, Mr. Lamborn. Quit stonewalling.]

Is there any doubt of the true identity of the so-called demogirl and cd-5?
See my personal ID page here http://www.coloradop… and there you’ll see my webpage and that webpage is, in turn, Demogirl’s. It’s a gold mine on Lamborn. Heck, you can just send the link to your friends for her personal ID and they’ll get to see Lamborn in “all his glory”. I’ve mined her materials a great deal, plus have found some of my own, to the discomfort of blah and others.
By the way, Haners, I’ll be at the Lincoln Day Dinner after all.
I hope you’ll post a diary on Romney’s presentation and those of us, like me, who will have seen his presentation can comment. I’ll be fair and balanced.
I don’t really have a dog in the presidential hunt–no one has really grabbed my allegiance and attention–but, I’ll listen to what Romney has to say. Possibly Giuliani or Fred Thompson have more of my interest at this time but, like I say, I’ve not settled on anyone yet.
I’ll be at one of the front tables-love to meet ya in person.
No, I don’t think so…his writing would be full of eloquently written witty remarks, hard facts, and COMMON SENSE. Those are his two favorite words, after all.
I just saw this in tonight’s SUNSET EDITION of the Gazette online in its “COMING IN TOMORROW’S GAZETTE” section:
Doug Lamborn has spent more in his first three months on franking, the privilege that Congressmen have to send mailers out to their constituents and charge it to the federal goverment, than Joel Hefley spent in his last four years in office combined. Lamborn says it’s an attempt to get his name known. Hefley’s former staffers say it’s an abuse of the system and a de facto way of campaigning.
Wow! Looks like Lamborn really knows how to “earmark” the franking system for his benefit! Wasn’t he supposed to go to Congress and cut back on government waste?
Poke some good holes in Lamborn. More mailers in three months then in Hefley’s last four years? Good example…
So Lamborn’s using part of his allocated budget to communicate with the people of CD 5? The reason Lamborn tops Hefley is because Hefley never did anything to reach out to voters. Hefley didn’t even buy lawn signs his last three races.
I bet if you looked, Lamborn’s also used more of his budget (oh, I mean, “the tax-payers’ dollars”) on travel than Helfey too. That’s because Lamborn travels back to Colorado every week to visit with his constituents. Hefley just sat there in DC not giving a damn.
Hefley sat around in Washington and didn’t reach out? He came home every weekend! What planet have you been on? He didn’t buy signs? So the hell what? When you’ve run for the same office what, 10, 11 times, why do you need to buy new signs?
Don’t trash Hefley just because your guy Lamborn is completely inept.
I’d like to know who was at Lamborn’s meet and greet today in DC that was put on by one of Jack Abramoff’s old employers. (Was that a price tag hanging out of Lamborn’s collar?) Maybe Lamborn can use any campaign financing raised there to offset his “get out the vote”, er, “informational pieces” to his constituents, thinks like this that he had in one of his mailers, “how to get a congratulatory card from the president if you’re turning 80 or older, or are celebrating 50 years of marriage or more.”
I can’t wait to see how Lamborn’s abuse of the franking privilege is going to be reported on by the Gazette tomorrow, but, it isn’t really “new” news. The Rocky Mountain News’ opinion columnist, Peter Blake, reported on Lamborn’s abuse back in May, http://www.rockymoun… where Blake told us about Lamborn’s “tip sheets.” All I’ve got to say is that if Lamborn wants to waste our money, I wish he’d find a more constructive means of wasting it, though, than the kind of “tips” he’s passing out. And, WE’RE STILL WAITING ON LAMBORN TO REVEAL HIS EARMARKS! SHOW US THE PORK!
On another matter, Blah, I’ve been waiting for you to cast your ballot on this polling question: http://www.coloradop…. Have you voted yet?
I can’t believe it, finally everyone is realizing what a loser Joel Hefley was!!!
Heck, I bet Hefley did idiotic things like ATTEND THE FIRST DAY OF VOTING instead of sitting in his office all day thinking how great it is to be a congressman and then complaining his “notification buzzer didn’t work”. If only we could all be more like Doug.
it was a busy week for the Congressman!

Take whatever position you want on the NEA, but Lamborn’s got a real problem. He should hire a dummy to speak for him. At least the delivery would be less wooden.
FLASH! Lamborn’s really trying to save money–so his franking privileges can be increased!
