And if you don’t mind our saying so, some of you could really benefit from a public policy degree, and DU’s is one of the best in the country. Think of it: you could stop losing Open Thread debates to people who have one.

I can see their new ad campaign now – “Go to D.U. and start winning those critical flame wars on ColoradoPols.”
You can’t spell “DUmb” without DU. But seriously…if they can explain why some weird bird thing is their logo then maybe I’d consider going back to school.
CCTiger is just mad cause DU beats Colorado College at hockey all the time.
DU law school….not so much
Yeah, frankly both hockey teams sucked this year (although head to head CC won 3 of 4 games). I just know that academically it seems far easier to get into DU…I know a couple people were wait-listed at CC but given full scholarships by DU.
But anyway kudos to CoPols…it is always good to get more advertisers.
couldn’t agree more, damn those loan bills!
Am I sensing a fellow CU law grad here?
I needed part time because I had a good job in finance. I just think its overpriced for what you get.
CU on the otherhand is a great value.
Physics and Math from C.U. Boulder 🙂
I got in to CU and Berkeley but wasn’t good enough for Lewis & Clark somehow. Very strange.
But I didn’t want to major in ultimate frisbee and Bong Hits.
Just kidding. A very good school, a good friend of mine went there and she loved it.
History from CU Denver, at least in the 90s. 😉
CU/Boulder in the 60s…..Pfaff in Polisci and Simon in history…..all you needed to know……about who we were and where we needed to go…
Spare me DU/PPI….where Dick “If I had two wands” Lamm holds forth…..”two wands”…..Dick Lamm is two wands short..
and doesn’t care whose ox is gored.
I wish you the very best with your father…and of course, this blog is only a keyboard away whether you are here or in NY…You are an unusually remarkably calm and compassionate sort….
Having said that, let me hark back to my CU days and my minor in cultural anthropology. Lamm may speak his opinion as he sees it but it is only his opinion and not any kind of objective truth or even an academic analysis….
He spoke of the “culture” of the Asian and the Jew and said he wished that for the Hispanic and African-American. The use of the term “culture” was inappropriate and his understanding of the history of Hispanics and African-Americans deficient.
What drives me nuts is when someone frames an argument or makes an assertive where the terms are so screwed up, that one can not rationally debate the issue….or refute the assertion.
