Who Will be the Democratic Nominee for President?

  • by: Colorado Pols

It’s about that time again. Every four weeks we ask Colorado Pols readers who they think will win the respective nominations for President. We ask the question in this manner in order to gauge changing perceptions (take a look at the changing fortunes of Democratic contenders).

Hillary Clinton still led the field in the last poll.

Remember, we don’t want to know who you support – we want to know who you think will end up as the nominee.

    1. There was a story over the weekend pointing to a Clinton Vilsack ticket.  Vilsack was at the DLC and is a centrist like Clinton so it would make sense.

      1. She’s apparently run second or third behind Obama and Edwards in Iowa at the present time.  If she can’t close that gap, someone is going to have to take the fall and Vilsack makes as much sense anyone else to blame.  Now should she win, his stock goes up a few points.

  1. I’m starting to think this is the most likely. And it would be an incredibly powerful ticket. As to Salazar – forget it. Only in COlorado is that even mentioned. He’s toxic to the Dem base because of his embrace of Gonzales

    1. Gives here a macho/military balance to the ticket which she figured she needed as a female candidate. The thing is, people do accept that Hillary is macho enough to be president so Clark may not be of any use to her.

  2.   But we are still 8-9 mos out of the primary season and a lifetime of things can happen.  BTW she is doing nothing to allay my concerns about her lack of vision.
