  1. They did their duty which was a futile and suicidal attack against the Japanese carriers in obsolete planes. Only 1 pilot survived.

But in doing so, they brought the Japanese CAP down to sea level (and had them scattered all over the area), leaving the late arriving dive bombers a clear shot at the Japanese carriers.

The Battle of Midway is the greatest American naval victory in history. The exemplify the best in our military.

    1.   There are many things about Mitt that are sad.  Like the fact that he suddenly discovered the sanctity of human life when he turned 55 years old.  Or his belief that he’s a life-long hunter because twice in his life (presumably once when he was very young and the other time more recently), he shot a gun at “varmints.”
John McCain had some fun with this latest disclosure about Romney’s record as a conservative as well as his problem of employing “undocumented landscapers” at his home in Massachusetts.
Mitt’s credentials as a NRAman are not quite as laughable as Dukakis 20 years ago riding in the tank, but they very close.

  2. For another edition of “at least they aren’t our representatives” regarding Craddick in TX.

“Craddick insisted both before and after the recess Friday night that he does not have to recognize a motion to oust him. During the evening, the capitol building was ringed by security officers in case the disagreement got physical.”

The guy also rejected the appeal to his rejection of the motion, saying such a ruling is “unappealable”. Anyone from Texas know the rules? If he is right that is pretty crazy, none of the articles I have read say if he really was within his legal bounds. You have to love Texas.

  3. Mrs. Clinton is asking America what her campaign theme song should be. You can vote on her top ten choices at the website – or you could influence her choice even more by adding to the write in list here on ColoradoPols.

Help Hillary find her song (reminds me of an old Winnie the Pooh story I heard when I was young). She’s counting on you. What is a campaign without a song?!

    1. The Darth Vader theme song from Star Wars (the real Star Wars, btw, not the puffy poof poof trilogy of recent years).

You remember Darth’s theme – the heavy ominous bass signaling the arrival of the Dark Lord.

    2. I take it that Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow” is out of the question?  (It worked well last time a Clinton was running.)
