There are certainly some things that are partisan issues. This isn’t one of them. Ritter made some big promises to the business community. Will he keep his promises?

  1. Trial lawyers support Dem candidates and the three branches are controlled by D’s.  It’s payback time!  And time for a shift from consumers to trial lawyers and their sue happy clients.  Yippee!

    1. I think you have it backwards. Those “clients” are consumers. At least they are more representative of consumers than giant corporations. Consumer protection does not mean letting corporations do whatever they want. In addition, what you call “sue” I call “law.” You can only sue if someone breaks the law. Why would anyone want to curb enforcing the law?

  2. Oftentimes, the plaintiffs in the lawsuits against business are businesses themselves.  Trial lawyers represent their business client’s wishes, and their clients want to sue other businesses.  So, if anyone is “sue happy,” it’s business itself.
