1. Better late than never — The Old Grey Lady finally ceases sane-washing Trump (via the Denver Post)

   Trump’s speeches, increasingly angry, are reigniting questions about his age

   Former President Donald Trump vividly recounted how the audience at his climactic debate with Vice President Kamala Harris was on his side. Except that there was no audience. The debate was held in an empty hall. No one “went crazy,” as Trump put it, because no one was there.

   Anyone can misremember, of course. But the debate had been just a week earlier and a fairly memorable moment. And it was hardly the only time Trump has seemed confused, forgetful, incoherent or disconnected from reality lately. In fact, it happens so often these days that it no longer even generates much attention.

2. PENNSYLVANIA — According to the Daily Beast, David McCormick was banned from a restaurant after his representative deceived a local business by telling them their planned campaign event was an autism awareness event.

   Colorado Sun: Court investigating threats after Colorado judge sentenced Tina Peters to 9 years in prison

   “We are receiving threats and compliments regarding Judge Barrett’s sentencing of Tina Peters,” Will Sightler, court executive for the 21st Judicial District said in a statement Friday afternoon. 

   “We are currently reviewing and taking appropriate action as necessary.” 

   Court administrators declined to provide additional details on the threats.
