The thing I can’t get out of my head at this critical juncture for the country is the Netflix movie, “Don’t Look Up”. A satire, if you will, about an asteroid headed for Earth and the gaslighting denial that officials insist is not happening.
I believe the reality today is that Joe Biden does not have a path to victory. The fact that GA, AZ and NV seem to be out of play is scary. The Cook Report has downgraded all of the key races. So, now we’re left with just PA, MI and WI to get exactly 270 electoral votes.
Trump will probably get a bump from next week’s RNC. Biden is not an effective communicator to turn this around. He should just drop out and throw his support behind Kamala Harris. If you agree I encourage you to contact our Senators and your House member today.
to those around here (actually just one) who think this is bedwetting I say, “Don’t Look Up.”
So while we're at it, can someone suggest that Andrea Mitchell take a cognitive test?!? I've been clear I'll be behind anyone who isn't Trump. It was refreshing to see the tempo and tenor of Kamala's speech in SC yesterday. All that said, I can't stop laughing over the corp media and Washington chatter-class screaming that Biden must do something to end this dumpster fire – a dumpster fire largely created by them. SMH Michael Steele has called this circus for what it is from the beginning.
Color me skeptical but maybe, just maybe if we hadn’t been force-fed trickle-down Reaganimics the past four decades and Republicans hadn’t been the ones resisting a minimum wage that kept pace with inflation, living wages, accessible health care, etc maybe we wouldn’t need page 451 in the Trump Manifesto?
I wonder how many Republican women in Congress will be objecting to this standard.
And yet all the whole Democratic party is doing right now is discussing people. If we don't get back to discussing ideas that address real problems for Americans, we're toast no matter who the nominee is.
