The June 25th Primary Election is three weeks away, which means ballots are en route to mailboxes across Colorado.
According to a press release from the Colorado Secretary of State’s office, ballots for races in Colorado’s fourth congressional district are the first out the door because CO-04 needs to conduct both a “special election” and a regular Primary election:
Starting today, Colorado County Clerks may begin mailing ballots to active registered voters for the June 25 State Primary Election and Congressional District 4 (CD-4) Vacancy Election.
“Ballots are arriving to your mailbox soon,” said Secretary Griswold. “There is still time to register to vote if you have not already, and I encourage every eligible Coloradan to do so.”
County Clerks must mail ballots by Friday, June 7 to active voters for the State Primary Election and CD-4 Congressional Vacancy Election.
Coloradans can still register to vote and update their voter registration at GoVoteColorado.gov through June 17 in order to receive a ballot in the mail. Coloradans can register to vote and vote in-person at a voting center until 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Pursuant to Election Order 2024-01, the CD-4 Election will be on the same ballot as the 2024 State Primary Election. All voters in CD-4 will be able to vote in the Congressional Vacancy Election.
And remember:
Coloradans who are affiliated with a major party – Republican or Democratic – will receive only the ballot of the party with which they are affiliated. Unaffiliated voters will receive a ballot for both major parties and can only vote one of those ballots for their vote to be counted. Minor party voters in CD-4 whose party is not holding a primary election will receive a ballot featuring only the CD-4 Congressional Vacancy Election. [Pols emphasis]
Ballots for voters outside of CO-04 should also be arriving shortly. You can track the travels of your particular ballot via BallotTrax. For more information on voting and to check your registration, head over to GoVoteColorado.com.

Just got my text message saying it was on the way
ANYONE planning to shift their registration's affiliation to get a different ballot….
TODAY I'd the last day to shift for the primary.
I did two years ago and I don't regret it for the most part.
I got to vote for a woman of color in the March presidential primary this year. She was no great prize but she was a lot better than the alternative – you know, the convicted felon.
Two years ago, I got to vote for Joe O'Dea – again, no great prize and my vote was for the primary only – but Horse Sushi and all, O'Dea was preferrable to Loren Hanks.
In hindsight, I probably wasted too much ink voting for the Heidi the Moron over Greg the Wife Beater, but at the time, Ganahl seemed marginally better than Lopez.
I don't regret voting for Pam Anderson or Colin Larson their primary opponents.
If you don't like the MAGA candidates vote against them – as often as lawfully possible.
I can't wait to see who is on the Jefferson County R primary ballot.
well, if you are registered as a UAF or REP [or if you know someone who is, and their birthday], you can use the Sec of State's app to generate a sample ballot for your location

Are there any contested primaries in either party in Jeffco?
on the R side, no. On the Dem side, several.

thanks….
I would like to receive multiple mailings, but then I realized that only GOPers are allowed to commit voter fraud.
Got mine.
Goodbye Tim Hernández.
No loss.
