    1. Why Buck voted against the ‘minibus’ is a mystery, though. He’s not beholden to the ‘free-dumb caucas”anymore and he’s leaving. So why?

  1. Speaking of baseball, things aren’t looking good for the LA Dodgers New 700 million dollar man, Shohei Ohtani.

Isn’t it time to elect Pete Rose to the Baseball Hall of fame, fer chrissake?

    1. It's wayyyy too early to disparage Ohtani on this.  Let the actual facts come out.  And let's face it, regardless of Ohtani's fate, the Rockies will dwell in the cellar and be completely noncompetitive again this year.  Go Blue!

      1. Sorry, spaceman. It would be easier to give Ohtani the benefit of the doubt if the story hadn’t changed. I don’t know the people involved, and the chip on my shoulder about  “Charlie Hustle” is so longstanding it has ossified, so I take your point.

All the same, gambling on baseball is as old as baseball.

  2. CPR has thorough coverage of Buck’s departure.

In recent years, Republican critics have blasted Buck, once described by his political opponents as “too conservative for Colorado,” as a RINO. Earlier this week, the House Freedom Caucus, which he’s belonged to since its start, voted to kick him out, days before he was due to leave.

But Buck, who describes himself as a constitutional conservative, points to his conservative voting scorecards, where he usually ranks in the 90s.

“What I won’t do is violate the Constitution and vote for impeachments that are not appropriate. What I won’t do is promote a narrative about how the 2020 election was stolen when it wasn’t stolen. I won’t talk about how people who assaulted police officers and destroyed federal government property should not be prosecuted,” Buck explained. “Some of the people in the Freedom Caucus have an issue with me because I will not promote false narratives.”

And of course, the article ends with “And he plans to vote “No” on that one last government spending bill.”

  3. Was Joe Neguse's promotion to House leadership a de facto promotion to Jason Crow's eventual nomination to a US Senate candidacy (when Hickenlooper retires)?
    Discuss…

      1. Oh I think Neguese is on House leadership track, not stepping stone to Senate track. He will be speaker some day. And he probably isn't going to have to wait 25 years.

Is there any word on whether Hick has warmed up to his job? Remember how ambivalent he felt about it in 2020? I figured if he really didn't like it, he would serve one term – at most.

  4. This is just painful to watch. Hobo, honey, do you realize that every hog farm you drive by in northeastern Colorado is owned by the Chinese? The beef industry is dominated by the Brazilians?  That they benefit both directly and indirectly from (y)our tax dollars, too?

You know what else doesn’t border CD-4? Mexico. Yet that’s all you seem to want to talk about.

  5. Trump doesn't OWN Trump tower. But he is fundraising off it.

You probably already knew this, but Trump is in the business of licensing his name, not selling money-laundering units in Trump Tower to Russian Oligarchs and Azerbijani taxi drivers (and their five uncles and three aunts?!).

So Letitia James is going after large mansions, golf-courses and things, not Trump Tower.

    1. In the event that Leticia James goes after Bedminster Golf Club, would the late Ivana Trump face eviction proceedings?

      Asking for a friend.
