Was sort of excited to learn that Harry Dunn, the Capitol cop, is running for Congress in Maryland. I'm only getting fundraising emails so far and haven't seen an "issues" page on a website, so I'll wait to offer my super-valuable endorsement, but at the bare minimum he would add some toughness to the House!
Harry Dunn is one candidate to take over the seat: John Sarbanes has decided not to run, so LOTS of Maryland Democrats are stepping forward. Ballotpedia now has a list:of others already in for the May 14 primary. May the best Democrat for that district win.
The Trump argument that the only way for a President to be charged with a crime is to first be impeached by the Senate is so ridiculous!
An impeachment is a performance evaluation of a President. Aside from voting, it's the only way for the American people to fire a President.
It's the same relationship that most CEOs have with their elected Board. If a CEO commits a crime and their elected Board decides to not fire the CEO, that does not mean a crime has not been committed!
