Considering "justice" — the jury is still out in the final trial.
Mike Luckovich of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution nails it again!
He can also generate a lot of methane through his tailpipe.
In a disappointing, but unsurprising move, it appears that SCOTUS is hoping and praying that the Trump trials will not be settled until after newly self-crowned Emperor Trump the First can simply dismiss them.
Yes, the proverbial handwriting is on the wall.
The only surprise was that no one publicly dissented.
The DC circuit is hearing arguments Jan. 9th, and I expect it'll rule quickly. Disappointed that SCOTUS didn't take it up, but I wasn't impressed with the quality of the argument for granting cert. before judgment in the court of appeals.
Yes, but even the D.C. Circuit's expedited process won't save the March trial date.
Trump will either lose or win before the three-judge panel. If he wins, the trial will not go forward in March. If he loses, he will petition for en banc rehearing. Given the issue involved, they may agree to do so.
And if en banc rehearing is denied, Trump will go to SCOTUS. Depending upon when the three-judge panel issues its decision (my guess is that they will do so quickly), and how soon the issue of en banc rehearing is resolved (could be quickly, could be slowly), this may get to SCOTUS for resolution before they leave for summer vacation. Or it may have to wait until the first Monday in October.
Either way, I don't see the DC case going to trial before November 2024.
The last best hope for getting this clown convicted is in Fulton County, Georgia, and even that may end up getting side tracked at some point,
In more good news, Wisconsin's Supreme Court told their legislature, "Start over, and do it right this time": https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/22/us/wisconsin-redistricting-maps-gerrymander.html
Yes! More power ( literally!) to Wisconsin voters!
I like what your graphics person is doing with selective coloring of black and white photos. May I suggest a red nose and reindeer horns for the late departed Dead Guv, Alva Adams.
