Shoot ’em on the porch!
Shoot ’em in your driveway!
Shoot ’em in the grocery store parking lot!
And, don’t forget to buy more guns and truckloads of ammunition — and carry or keep a loaded gun, or twelve, nearby at all times. Remember, it’s a dangerous world (…just look at all the people getting shot out there…), and there’s always young thugs lurking you’ll probably want to shoot someday!
This message intended for responsible gun owners, and brought to you by the gun and ammunition manufacturers of UmmmMerika, in cooperation with the NRA who promotes and encourages responsible self-defense shootings. (Our motto: Shoot first!; Ask questions? — nah, it’s just too soon.)
Stand your ground — it’s your porch, your driveway, and your grocery store parking space. Always shoot first — don’t be fooled — that “kid” just might be carrying a soda, hopped up on Red Bull, or packing [shudder] a shiny-wrappered energy bar; and, they probably did something earlier and deserve it, anyway! (Plus, it won’t count as a “mass shooting” unless you plug four of ’em!)
Ugh. This is entirely too on-the-nose.
So how did the Republicans get over 400 people to sign up to speak against the bill? It is a serious question. The Dems control all the state wide offices and both houses of the State Legislature. I know that Trump and Roe helped, but those lower rank Republicans have some glout…,,they got rid of Tri County Health, flipped the Douglas County school board and the Aurora city council.
When some very brave parent from Uvalde or Kentucky shows a picture of what assault gun does to a murdered child, then we will have a ban.
Bill O’Reilly has some poignant comments this AM about Fox, as quoted on Yahoo. Says the nightmare will continue because Fox put money ahead of principles. O’Reilly says he lost over 1,000 premium customers when he told viewers that Trump’s allegations of election fraud wouldn’t fly with the federal courts.
Although I didn’t always agree with O’Reilly, and I know many of the lefties here on Pols despised him; I made an effort to catch his Fox show when I could. Among other things, he put a quick stop to the Obama “birther” idiocy in early 2009 when his staff dug up the Honolulu newspaper announcement about the birth of baby boy Obama. Of course, idiots like Trump continued to peddle the falsehoods.
Let's be clear about why O'Reilly is "despised."
Yes, but didn't Fox at least give him a time-out and send him on sabbatical for a period of time until the dust settled on the sexual harassment case?
It was the least they could do. Literally.
Your NYT link is behind a pay wall. Yes, the story is known. So is the story about Senator Al Franken (D-MN). People make mistakes.
You probably ought to consider ponying up the price for that paywalled article, and several others as well, if you really do hold the badly mistaken opinion there’s any level of comparable equivalency between Bill O’Reilly’s and Al Franken’s misdeeds.
I suppose we could do a GoFundMe so that he can become better acquainted with the facts.
"better acquainted with the facts….." You mean your "woke" facts? You can do better.
Nah, it’s not like CHB needs to buy enlightenment. Usually he’s somewhat cogent, and he’s even fairly well-informed on those rare occasions when someone from his Party has managed to do something decent environmentally. It’s just that every once in a while he can’t always seem to keep that “Real® Republican” in him from bursting out for a little howl.
“you ought to consider ponying up……” I did the NY Times several yers ago. End result is that it became just one of too many emails appearing in a day and was seldom read. Yahoo News provides newsfeeds from a number of sources, including the NY Times.
“badly mistaken opinion……” What makes your opinion so special?
I can understand why you might imagine being correct is something special, but really it’s not all that extraordinary or uncommon for lots of folks.
But, no worries, I’m sure Moderatus would agree with your equivalency.
Parental rights, personal responsibility and family values….
Lauren Boebert Is Truly in Crisis (msn.com)
At 17, he is still a child in the eyes of the law and as such, in need of parental supervision.
Seems like his mom would be interested enough in knowing whether his English teacher assigned him Maus to read but oblivious to whether he is making all of his court appearances for his careless driving case.
Wonder if the kid is accompanying his Baby Mama on her prenatal medical appointments?
LOL. She’s got no worries he’s reading any books (regardless of their being assigned) — kid’s a Boebert, damnit!
They'll be no highfalutin booklearnin' for the Boeberts. They're a proper MAGA family!
What I find saddening is that all the media noise is about Boebert and her kid. Nobody seems to feel anything for the young girl.
I'd say there's about a 0.000% chance that the poor kid will have any prenatal medical care at all.
