For DENVER voters: here’s what’s happened so far, as of yesterday, according to the Denver Elections website’s update …
I know that 17 named candidates for mayor (including one who has formally withdrawn) create some difficulty in choosing. The same is true for the 10 people running for At-Large Member seats, who had much smaller budgets for their campaigns throughout the city. I know few of us could name the Denver Auditor or explain what the office has done in the past decade or two. I know that the elections for County Clerk and my District’s Council Member are not contested, so the incumbents will continue. And I admit, I’m a part of the problem, holding on to my ballot until Monday to see if there are developments over this weekend (candidates CAN do something late — gaffes remain possible).
I hope you will encourage people in Denver to vote by 7 pm on April 4. Have them join the surge of voters today, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. There are 43 drop boxes around the city. The full list of locations is available in an interactive map. Encourage them to vote ahead of the predicted crowds in the polling centers and snow on Tuesday.
Any US citizen who will be 18 or over by 4/4/2023, was a Colorado resident by March 13, 2023, is a resident of Denver and can get into a Voter Service and Polling Center by 7 pm on the 4th can vote. If they mistakenly recycled their ballot or didn’t receive one in the mail, they can vote. If they aren’t sure, they can call 3-1-1 and ask for the Elections Division, Call: 720-913-VOTE (8683) or Text: 56003 to find out their eligibility.
Get out the Vote.
I can tell you that Dennis Gallagher, of Gallagher Amendment fame or infame, was once the Denver Auditor. Beyond that, I got nuthin'.

In news about the Democratic Party for once, Shad Murib was just elected chair of the Colorado Dems. By this CPR account, it doesn't seem as if the election got crazed like some other party's, but the contest did go 2 rounds and Murib won the second round by 52-48%.

It went two rounds because there were three strong candidates and the winner needed 50% plus 1. The top two were both excellent candidates. The CDP will continue to build success on top of success.
