  1.   That photo in this morning’s Post is the second worst photo of Beauprez this election cycle to date.  (The first, of course, is that unforgettable picture of his hands pointing in different directions in the Durango Herald.)
Why Both Ways would want to be standing any where near “Shrub” when photographers were present is beyond me.
Beauprez could and should take a lesson from the incumbent Republican Governor of Connecticut, Jodi Rell, who has a 32 point lead over her Democratic opponent in a decidely “Blue State.”
When Bush visited Connecticut last week, Rell pleaded a prior scheduling commitment and avoided attending a GOP fundraiser with Bush.  (She had to go dedicate a highway overpass somewhere.)  This was the second time she was “unavoidably absent” from a presidential visit.
Rell did, however, have one of the state’s GOP Congressmen as well as the state party chair attend the fundraiser and collect checks for GOP candidates.
Here would have been an excellent opportunity to send Janet Rowland on a mission.  She could have attended in Beauprez’ place, given her schtick about the perils of gay marriage and sheep in a controlled environment, and collected the loot all while Bob was busy doing something somewhere else.

    1. would be appropriate for BWB….. “No money could save him…So he laid down and died” (politically)  Ooooh, what a lucky man he was”.

    2. by your estimation of my influence.  These blogs really make a difference!

Bob Beauprez is pictured with a man who has approval ratings that match Clinton’s vote total in ’92.  Yes, it is a tough year for the GOP.

That being said, I don’t think Bob is one to cut and run from his friends just because he’s having a rough time.

Seems though Ritter & Dems are doing their best to screw this thing up…

      1. Maybe you didn’t read this (although I doubt it, but just on the off chance I’m going to repost it.

If you paid attention to my posts you’d see that I’m not very enthusiastic about Ritter, and that I am also unregistered despite being quite liberal. Of course you’re usually engaged in half a dozen arguments at any given time, so I’ll let it slide. Anyway, BWB is even less impressive, so Ritter has my vote. (It takes a demonstrably superior Republican to earn my vote, but I do vote that way at times.)
You’ve been caught in a lie (see link below) and if you aren’t associated with either the Beauprez campaign or Trailhead you sure post like you are. I guess I’ll just ask you point blank – Are you actively working for the Beauprez campaign, any Republican 527, or a Republican party organization that campaigns on behalf of Republican candidates? Or any other conceivable politically active organization? Or are you ike me – interested in politics but completely unaffiliated with any organization (not counting your voter registration)?

  2. I’ll bet a lot of you are frustrated with our current batch of backstabbing, amoral politicians. You just wish there were someone out there who could stand above the fray…not focus on negativity…emphasize America, and freedom.

Ladies and gentlemen (mostly gentlemen), your prayers have been answered. There’s a man running in Congressional District 5 who truly represents the people. This isn’t a man who cares only about getting votes or getting “randy” with interns/pages. This man cares about God and liberty.

Doug Lamborn. He’s not a man who will spend a lot of time trumpeting his own accomplishments. He’s a simple, modest man with a simple, modest message: Be a heterosexual, God-fearing (the Christian God), anti-abortion, anti-immigrant unquestioning the Great War on Terror….or get the hell out of his country.

Lamborn. A simple man with a message. A man who cares.

          1. if you were an angel, you would have been on lamborn’s side from the moment he was conceived, or even before that! there would be no decision to suddenly…at best youre an AINO (angel in name only).

        1.   And how does he call upon his angels for help?  By drawing an inverted pentagon on the ground and then mutter his creator’s name three times.

        1. Anderson was voted least likely to approve of Lamborn before the primary – it’s no surprise he’s not doing it now.

Anderson’s letter is pretty harsh; it screams “I’ll be voting for Jay Fawcett, and I urge others to do so as well”, though Anderson keeps to the Republican line and doesn’t actually say that.

      1. 1) Is this ad going to get off cable and onto the networks?

        2) Will Fawcett be able to keep in on air more than 6 days (see: Radio Ad)

        3) Does Fawcett realize that this is the exact same ad Crank ran before the primary, only with lower production values?

It is interesting to see Fawcett hitch all his horses to the military. He seems to know it’s the only leg he has a chance to stand on. There’s only three problems with that strategy.

        1) Retired and career military in CS are strong to the right.
        2) Most active rank and file military aren’t registered in Colorado.
        3) Most military in CD 5 are in the Springs, which is where Lamborn is strongest.

But, I won’t fault him for trying.
