FOX 31’s Eli Stokols with next week’s swing-state itinerary:
President Barack Obama will hold a large rally with supporters in Fort Collins next Tuesday night, just as the Republican National Convention gets underway in Tampa Bay, Fla., FOX31 Denver was first to report Tuesday afternoon.
The rally is going to be held on the campus of Colorado State University around 6 p.m.
With all eyes on the RNC, the Obama campaign is looking to upstage the GOP ticket, or at least compete for air time, in critical swing states like Colorado.
The dead of winter notwithstanding, we’d take Fort Collins over Tampa most days.
