Vote Republican and Spite Rosie O'Donnell

  • by: Colorado Pols

The Colorado Republican Party is urging voters to request absentee ballots and vote early in 2006 (and so is the Democratic Party). But check out this mailer (PDF) that they are sending to Republican voters. The mailer promotes Republicans as an alternative to “Cut-and-Run” Democrats, and to further make that point, they use a quote from…Rosie O’Donnell?

What does Rosie O’Donnell have to do with GOTV in Colorado, and why did Democrats get stuck with her? Being annoyed by Rosie should be a nonpartisan issue.

      1. from the dems featuring Ann Coulter?

I would have thought that the more than outrageous things Coulter has said would have finally put even hard-core right wing Rs over the top, but apparently not.

Today, Coulter is saying that too many people vote, that we need a poll tax to take a literacy test to be able to vote.

Of course the problem with that for the Rs (the law of unintended consequences) is that much of the base vote that the right wing nuts rely on, would be precluded from voting by such a situation.  May not be able to pay the tax and may not be able to pass the test.

        1. I really thought the crack about the 9/11 widows enjoying their losses and marketing their grief had finally finished off any remaining tolerance for her ranting.
