        1. I was thinking more about the folks who have trouble with reality:  the people fixated on the Comet pizza restaurant, the Jewish space laser, Hershel Walker's status as "Dad of the Year", and the "Furries."

  1. If you were burned by Russell Wilson’s cooking, you might be entitled to financial compensation.

Call Frank Azar the “Strong Stomach” He know what to do.

    ”Let’s sue”

      1. To quote the late sportswriter Dan Jenkins, from his classic book, “Semi-Tough:”

“The Broncos looked like something that dropped out of a tall cow’s rear end.”

    1. I just saw it, dammit!. I came back to see if it had been posted yet. They goofed. I hope Jenna can talk her way out of this one, but more than Anderson will try to make hay out of it.

      1. She fucked up here big time. Yes it was someone in her office but as the elected head of the office, you get to own the errors. And this was a big one.

Hopefully people will accept that mistakes happen and they're cleaning it up.

      2. corrections:

         * acknowledgment of the error.

         * Follow up mail to the 31, 000

         * If people try to register, there is additional explanation about the need to be a citizen.

         * procedures in place to make certain that if someone who is not a citizen DOES try to register, they won't be able to.

        So, MAYBE a $50,000 error.

Now, let us compare that to the cost of errors from Republicans involved in the administration of elections.  I'm not real good at budgeting … but I suspect more time and money was spent figuring out what went on with Tina Peters as Mesa County clerk.  And prosecution and IF there is a conviction, I suspect the state's investment in the trial, and then the shelter, supervision, and feeding of an inmate for a couple of years will go far, FAR beyond $50,000.

    2. The Secretary of State's office has been the near-exclusive property of the GOP for well over half a century. The Dem interlude was nice while it lasted.

      1. My thought on what she should do is the following.

It's going to be out there. Pam Anderson is going to do her best to make sure everyone knows of it. So, better people hear about it from Jena first (or also) rather than Jena tries to avoid the issue.

So Jena should make this her main message for a week or two – that they made a mistake, they're owning it, and they're fixing it.

And that the protections she has in place already will insure that if anyone from that list tries to register, it'll be caught and disallowed.

And apologize. Say she will always do her best but that she's not perfect.

    3. Yes, terrible optics but just who on this site thinks an undocumented resident in Colorado is going to register to vote after receipt, knowing full well they’d eventually be caught?

      1. I learned of this this morning (been out of town until yesterday) when I returned to work.

        Yep, it’s bad.

However, some facts about what happened:

        1) It was postcards that went out, no voter registration forms. That alone will mean most will go into the trash unread.

        2) They went to both citizens and LEGAL non-citizens. Folks with green cards for employment, and/or permanent  residents on their way to citizenship. So no undocumented people. The list came from DMV and was meant to be a mailing to those eligible to vote but not registered. The person who made the error simply forgot to check the citizen box. The people who received the postcard incorrectly have too much to lose to attempt to vote illegally.

        3) The Sec. of State’s office has a list of who these people are who received the postcard incorrectly. Any effort by them to register illegally will be stopped as long the election officials throughout the state do their jobs correctly.

So, yes, it was a bad mistake. But one that we can survive and clean up as we go.

        1. The other factor is that it's occurring very late in the campaign. I don't think this goof is on the same level as anti-abortion Herschel Walker paying for girl friends to get abortions.

          1. Bismarck said, "the biggest lies are told right before the wedding, right after the hunt, and in the middle of the political campaign."

      2. "who on this site"

Other than Fluffy and P-fruit, no one on this site but the world outside this site processes information differently.

Perception becomes reality, especially after the election deniers have their "ah ha" moment and announce that here is the proof that elections are routinely stolen.

  2. Torque

    /tôrk/

The product of the magnitude of the force and the perpendicular distance of the line of action of a force from the axis of rotation.

Is there any better comparison of FDFQ v. Dark Brandon?  Empty G likes the bloviating sounds of fossil fuels under the hood. Me? I like the quiet torque of a Tesla or Ford Lightning that leaves them in the dust.

Who’s going to tell her Obama saved Detroit?

GREENE: “What’s more American than the roar of a V8 engine under the hood of a Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro—an incredible feel of all that horsepower? But Democrats like Pete Buttigieg want to emasculate the way we drive and force all of you to rely on electric vehicles, after they shut down your great Michigan auto industry.”

    1. Empty G is loud, inefficient, and produces great amounts of exhaust. Why wouldn't you expect her to shill for fossil fuel burning vehicles?

    2. I used to own a BMW M3 (original body style). That car was perfect. And I loved downshifting as I passed a slow car so the engine noise was LOUD.

I now own a Tesla Model 3. And I'm sad to say that it is so much better than the M3. I will never own a gas powered car again.

Greene has no idea what she's talking about (surprise!) comparing a muscle car to an electric. A Nissan Leaf can probably out accelerate a muscle car.

    3. Ford and Chevy aren’t going to make electric cars?  Just how stupid does the currently-named Rep. Greene think the execs at major car companies are?  Has she read any of their promotional materials or the press releases ?    For those willing to put out $65.000 or so (plus taxes fees, and licensing, of course), this Ford product seems like a winner.

The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is a handsome and sporty all-electric luxury SUV.

From the promo material, emasculation is not an available option.

  3. I know Pfuit has some deeply held beliefs that somehow Dark Brandon was behind this. Will he be vindicated?

Scuttlebutt is Sweden's investigation clearly indicates Russian guilt. But labeling Russia the destroyer of European infrastructure has Europewide consequences. The Swedes are not going to officially accuse before speaking w their neighbors & allies.

Sweden won't share Nord Stream investigation findings with Russia – PM

Last week Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin sent a letter to the Swedish government demanding that Russian authorities and Gazprom would be allowed to be involved in the investigation, which Sweden denied.

    1. Like that was going to happen. If the Russians were brought into the Swedish investigation, the investigators would suddenly find themselves "accidentally" falling out of windows.

    2. I know Pfuit has some deeply held beliefs that somehow Dark Brandon was behind this.

That boy never had an original thought in his life. If you want to know whatever there is to know about his deeply held beliefs – not that I can imagine WHY anyone might want to know that – all one need to is check out the hot takes from the Faux News screaming heads.
