Tragedy in Bailey

I am writing this as a non-political diary and would appreciate if everyone keeps it that way.

My heart goes out to the entire community of Bailey tonight. As a parent, it was gut-wrenching to watch the trauma unfold and know exactly the pain those parents were in not knowing the status of their kids.

As of this writing the identity of the one captive to not survive has not been released yet. All we can hope for is that her family knows they are in the minds and prayers of many many people who they don’t even know tonight.

Any readers who live that neck of the woods: be kind to one another and help your community in whatever way you can to heal. Please let the investigators do their jobs, we’ll get answers soon enough. We don’t need to rush them.

And treasure your children and please don’t forget to be thankful and thoughtful for the ones who were not harmed. They are suffering too tonight.
