#HorseSushi: Let The Meme Go Forth

After Democratic U.S. Senator Michael Bennet memorably ribbed his wealthy self-funding Republican opponent Joe O’Dea for “riding their horses to buy sushi in his fancy neighborhood,” O’Dea obligingly released a new campaign ad this morning with footage of O’Dea galloping through Denver’s tony southern suburbs–where in case you didn’t know, a few very rich people like Joe O’Dea maintain very expensive horse properties.

The memesters were quick to pounce:

Just an ordinary guy, riding his horse to the local sushi place! Just like you.

O'Dea's campaign team seems to come from the same tone deaf school of thought, like the inside-the-beltway dumb-dumbs who ran Mark Udall's re-election campaign in 2014.

I think this dude is attempting some sort of weird, half-assed, supposedly Colorado-tailored Youngkin gambit. Perhaps he feels he too can ride his trusty horse, CRT, to victory.

But it’s destined to fail because he doesn’t sport a reassuring sweater vest.

And as we all know, he’s never gonna do it without his vest on. Oh no.

The night photo — is he standing in front of an open business or is it closed? I see zero cars in the parking lot.
