One other possibility occurred to me: Eric and Daddy Trump were told "take the Fifth" because the lawyers were pretty clear they couldn't be trusted to understand the questions, and then respond in a "honest" fashion without getting into trouble. Don jr. and Ivanka are better able to be coached, remember the strategy and tactics, and thus do NOT need to be totally silent.
