      1. I just talked to Dano. He can't post from his office, but he said she was arrested last night in Pitkin County and bonded out an hour later. The SOS has stated there will be no recount on Peters' loss to Anderson.

  1. So sad for Tina Peters. Her usefulness to the MAGA crowd has ended. Once she gets out of jail, not even MAGAs will remember who she was. But in true Andy Warhol fashion, she did get her 15 minutes of fame.

  2. I don’t get it. Why was she able to post bond on a warrant ordering her arrest for violating bond?

Don’t bond violators stay jailed until they see a judge? Can any lawyers explain this?

    1. westslope, I’m not an attorney, but here’s my explanation.

Despite the appearance of a bail condition being violated, bail will likely be granted for misdemeanors until there is a judge ruling there is a bond violation.  So far, Tina Peters has not had any of her bail bonds forfeited.  In her most recent appearance, Judge Barrett accepted the attorney’s tale that HE was responsible for Peters not knowing she couldn’t travel. The judge then lectured her sternly, but quashed the arrest warrant for bail violations and did not revoke her bail.

So, in the eyes of the judicial system (justice being blind, after all), Peters is still considered an innocent citizen.

  3. So, Peters adds ANOTHER misdemeanor charge to her list.  It will be interesting to see if the DA wants to file a motion on her felony bond or not.

Peters has court dates on August 5 for her arraignment on the felony and misdemeanor charges.  As of yet, no hearing on the court docket before that, so I'm guessing Peters will be able to enjoy her freedom at least until Monday.

  4. Steve Bannon convicted.  Zero surprise.  Now we await his sentencing and inevitable appeal.  Who else wishes he would just disappear in a sinkhole?

  5. Tired of Tina Peters shenanigans? Too bad.

She’s still throwing tantrums, publishing an unhinged Facebook video attacking both of rhe judges on her case. And trying to fundraise off her scofflaw celebrity. Anne Landman wrote the story:

This is rhe same Judge Barrett that gave Teepee the benefit of the doubt, and did NOT incarcerate her with no bond for violating her bond conditions.
