  1. Pfruit’s bff had a neuron-firing event early this morning that produced words, the best words, while sitting on his gold-plated throne toilet in Whore-a-Lago:

  2. It’s amateur hour 24 hours a day at the White House. Vice President Kamel Toe said sanctions were designed to be a deterrent, then Joe says they were never designed to be a deterrent, he said give them a month. A month when the existence Ukraine is measured in days and hours.. John Kerry is hopeful that Russia will be mindful of their climate change responsibilities. Jen Psaki said the war is proof we need to get off oil and gas. Foreign democratic countries are taking the lead and the US is delegated to “ME TOO” status.

The American people gave you a chance and you failed spectacularly. Even the low information voter can see for their own eyes. Independents have already made a new decision.

I know, I know ……fuck you. “Come on man” give me some love, I’ on the PolCat team. I’m like the designated hitter that “V” is so fond of.

      1. I’m sure you are equally offended when your friends call Trump every slur know to idiots. Get over it. This may not be the place for your sensitive demeanor.

    1. Hey Rublesteltskin, average job using your words.  Pity they don’t mean anything.

Remember when your favorite former guy abandoned our allies the Kurds to get slaughtered by the Turks?
Or when he ignored the bounty his BFF placed on the heads of American Soldiers?

      Now, that’s amateur hour.

    2. Amateur hour, huh… By this point in his term, Trump’s Sad!ministration had lost

      • Secretary of Homeland Security, (and on March 11 of his second year, a Secretary of State)
      • a National Security Adviser, Deputy National Security Adviser, National Security Adviser for VP
      • the NSC’s Senior Director for Africa; Chief of Staff and Executive Secretary; Senior Intelligence Director; Senior Director of Legislative Affairs;
      • Chief of Staff,  Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy,
      • Communications Director (twice – and an “Acting” CD, too), Press Secretary, Principal Deputy Press Secretary, Director of Strategic Communications,  Deputy Communications Director and Research Director,

And let us consider the efforts of the Trump Sad!-ministration to determine what they were going to do about the Executive Order that tried to ban foreign nationals. Versions were created

      • January 27, 2017 First effort – followed immediately by a blizzard of court injunctions on the action.
      • March 6, 2017 – 2nd Executive Order;
      • September 24, 2017 – President Trump signed the third version of his Muslim ban. Only on June 26, 2018 did a 5-4 decision of the Supreme Court uphold Trump’s Muslim Ban 3.0; and
      • February 10, 2020 – Trump’s government agrees to prioritize processing of refugees stymied by travel ban as part of a settlement agreement in a civil rights lawsuit
    1. Rublesteltskin is definitely male, David, he came to a couple of our meet-ups.  He's also a Vietnam vet and I am genuinely upset that he now mans the glory hole for America's enemy, Putin.

      1.  yesYes, PP is a genial guy in person. Online, not so much…like the rest of us. And yes, it is shocking that an old Cold Warrior is taking his former enemy’s side.

Casualties in Ukraine continue to mount. 352 civilians , by the ministry of health count, including 14 children. Depending whom you believe, (Al Jazeera seems credible and well sourced) Russians have few to 4500 dead.

    2. Pfruit is upset that foreign democratic countries are taking the lead.  Isn’t that the point? It’s their back yard and we’re the 800 pound gorilla that supports their actions.

He’s proven to be as flawed in his modern war theory as he is in supply chain logistics and holistic crop water management.

    3. “Please bring some civility back here by ignoring Pear. Responding does nothing  other than encourage more rants. Give him/her the response they deserve – silence.”

Sorry Dave, this web site is not designed for civility. If it were than every contributor would be required to use their real name and a real picture. You see, that doesn’t work for Democrat propaganda. I have personally met Kwtree, “V”, John from Denver, Skinny. Michael Bowman couldn’t make it that day. In person they are all very fine, fun, intelligent and respectful people, and I count them as friends. I suspect you are of the same character.

As avatar’s they are fulfilling their group think propaganda and have a different agenda. Don’t be offended by the discourse, it’s all political sporting fun. And you might learn that not all people hate America, like the PolCats……….there I go again, sorry.

      1. Group think propaganda?    Have "a different agenda"?

really, Powerful Pear? You think we have some sort of common thought process and a singular agenda??  You really need to begin reading a bit more carefully or work on your memory.

        1. You really need to begin reading a bit more carefully or work on your memory.

Rublesteltskin's reading comprehension is terrible.  And so is his memory.  He is, after all, a nasty old man suffering frim dementia.

        2. "You think we have some sort of common thought process and a singular agenda??"

Pear is obviously thinking about a different community. Like the viewers of Tucker Carlson's show. Or the Borg.

    1. Switzerland is freezing Russian assets, ending a long tradition of neutrality. They’re banking system is a haven for Russian mobsters – oligarchs billions. UPS and FedEx suspending service indefinitely.  One of the unsung heros in this may be Secretary Blinken and his behind-the-scenes diplomatic work.

The Ethiopian proverb “when spider webs unite, they can bring down a lion” seems appropriate this morning.

  3. It must suck to be Putin today. The invasion is sputtering due to courageous fighting by the Ukranians and their insanely popular leader Zelensky, most of the world is pitted against you and is sanctioning you, your economy is cratering, and Fat Donny is not around anymore to kiss your ass.

    Glory be!

              1. As if there weren't an administration between Obama and Biden who withheld a 400 million military aid package to Ukraine, all for some stupid corrupt bullshit reason.

TFG amnesia is strong these days.

  4. What Putin Wants. Deleted Victory Article from Russian News.

A new world is being born before our eyes. Russia’s military operation in Ukraine has ushered in a new era—and in three dimensions at once. And of course, in the fourth, internal Russian. Here begins a new period both in ideology and in the very model of our socio-economic system—but this is worth talking about separately a little later.

Russia is restoring its unity—the tragedy of 1991, this terrible catastrophe in our history, its unnatural dislocation, has been overcome. Yes, at a great cost, yes, through the tragic events of a virtual civil war, because now brothers, separated by belonging to the Russian and Ukrainian armies, are still shooting at each other, but there will be no more Ukraine as anti-Russia.

Russia is restoring its historical fullness, gathering the Russian world, the Russian people together—in its entirety of Great Russians, Belarusians and Little Russians. If we had abandoned this, if we had allowed the temporary division to take hold for centuries, then we would not only betray the memory of our ancestors, but would also be cursed by our descendants for allowing the disintegration of the Russian land.

Vladimir Putin has assumed, without a drop of exaggeration, a historic responsibility by deciding not to leave the solution of the Ukrainian question to future generations. After all, the need to solve it would always remain the main problem for Russia—for two key reasons. And the issue of national security, that is, the creation of anti-Russia from Ukraine and an outpost for the West to put pressure on us, is only the second most important among them.

It goes on like that for a while.

      1. You can't actually change user name without reregistering.   But go on to nickname, which you can change as often as you like,  then click that as the name to be displayed.

  5. Demented old man rant of the day from Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA):

“You millennial leftists who never lived one day under nuclear threat can now reflect upon your woke sky,” Higgins wrote. “You made quite a non-binary fuss to save the world from intercontinental ballistic tweets.”

  6. Apparently a lot of people in Russia want out. What if the U.S. offered a 3 year visa to any Russian with a College education? Offer good for the next month.

That could well devastate their industry losing the best of their businesspeople.

And the message it would give to those remaining in Russia…

    1. “What if the U.S. offered a 3 year visa to any Russian with a College education?”

It would opportunities for Trump to acquire his third Slavic wife.

Although college educated might reduce the pool of applicants.

  7. To lighten our days, let's just translate PPs blitherings to Yoda talk. Random insults become, umm a sort of blithering wisdom.

Equally offended when your friends call trump every slur know to idiots i’m sure you are. Over it get. The place for your sensitive demeanor this may not be.

  8. Rachel Bitecofer today:

"The Biden Administration has crippled Russia’s economy, strengthened NATO, and has been a steadfast ally for western nations. None of this would have happened if Trump was still president."

      1. Initial pledge of NATO allies to all get to 2% of GDP for military and security was in 2006.  Repeated, and stressed as “we really, really mean it this time” after the Russians overran the Crimea and S. Georgia in 2014..

In a single move, Putin has managed to inspire

         * Germany to immediately increase military spending above 2%, and pledge to keep it there.

         * Other countries to increase their spending, approaching 2%.

         * NATO and Turkey to overcome a dispute and increase combined actions.

         * Sweden and Finland to more actively consider NATO membership.

Even if there is a military loss in Ukraine and Russia is able to claim “victory,” there will be on-going resistance and sabotage,  Plus external pressures.  Putin is in a world of hurt.

    1. I was going to embed the 2014 song for you, but it was just a vapid pop song. “1944”, from Ukrainian Tatar singer Jamala, won the Eurovision contest in 2016. It was about deportation from Crimea in 1944, but is obviously timely now.

  9. From Bloomberg "Money is just a Social Construct"

David LevineRussia’s Money Is Gone: ‘One great theme of the post–2008 financial world is that money is a social construct, a way to keep track of what society thinks you deserve…. That has always been true, but modern finance has made it more obvious…. As of Friday Russia had about $630 billion of foreign currency reserves, a large cushion…. But “foreign currency reserves” are not an objective fact; they are mostly a series of entries on lists maintained by foreign-currency issuers and intermediaries… a set of accounting entries…. In a crisis the accounting entries don’t matter at all. All that matters are relationships, and if your relationships get bad enough then the money is as good as gone…

      1. Those sad, shriveled mementos of former glories… Labeled Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio… I think Susan Collins’  spine is in there somewhere, too. And maybe Mitch McConnell’s chin.
