Does anyone know what the requirements are for filing as a candidate for Secretary of State? Tina Peters is running all around acting like she's running, but she's still listed as a candidate for County Clerk on the SoS website (https://tracer.sos.colorado.gov/PublicSite/SearchPages/CandidateDetail.aspx?SeqID=52737)
Peters isn’t listed as a candidate for Secretary of State, only for her present office of Clerk and Recorder.
Requirements are: Over 25, resident 2 years, citizen.
But Team Jena was happy to send out a couple of fund raising appeals saying Tina was running.
So both of them are using Peter’s hypothetical candidacy for S o S as a fundraiser? And Peters still has nothing filed officially.
What a country.
Well Peters was the one who actually said she is going to run. I don't know how you can blame Jena for responding to that announcement.
The thought has crossed my mind that TP's candidacy (official or not) for SOS is maybe along the lines of a bait and switch anyway. She's simply so horribly wrong for the job that the probable GOP frontrunner would look normal by comparison.
And she can probably rake in some $$$ by making noises that she is going to run even though she ultimately doesn't get into the race.
Let us not forget with whom she runs. Didn't she announce her non-existent campaign on a Steve Bannon podcast…or so? Tina is a useful idiot in the plans of others…but she digs the notoriety.
If there are contributions, there is supposed to be a committee formed and registered.
Beyond kwtree's list, a candidate also has to be a registered member of the party by the first business day of the year and has to "To be named as a candidate for designation by assembly, a person must provide notice as follows no less than 30 days before the assembly, unless otherwise provided by party rules. The Colorado Republican Assembly is April 9.
Peters is definitely soliciting donations….for both offices ( county clerk and secretary of state). However, there is only one committee formed:
Committee to Elect Tina Peters
Office: Mesa County Clerk and Recorder
She has received ~ $16,000 in a loan
from one contributor ( Mike Lindell?)
This has to be some kind of campaign finance violation.
But you are assuming that Tina Peters actually follows the law. That assumption has already been debunked.
I enjoy satire but the joke is getting old. Isn’t it time to stop pretending Heidi Ganahl is running for governor and list the real candidates?
There must be one!
Be patient, . . .
. . . the March Republican caucuses will no doubt be unveiling their next Dan Maes (. . . or, who knows, maybe even their previous Dan Maes)?

He's tanned, rested, and ready.
Here's one of the Republican candidates for Governor. I think this guy has a diagnosis though I don't know if he understands that.
Here's a story from 2011 about how this guy kept digging the hole deeper in a court hearing.
So, with just a little reading you can see how qualified this Republican candidate is . . .
Gray-Ginsburg does have an interesting thought about dealing with traffic congestion on I-70 by running a railroad into South Park and then over to Summit County.
We had that once: the Denver, South Park & Pacific narrow gauge railroad went up Waterton Canyon; then up the North Fork of the South Platte River over Kenosha Pass and down to Como. At Como; where one can still see the old engine roundhouse; one branch went over Boreas Pass and down to Breckenridge. Unfortunately, the route was abandoned in 1937 and Strontia Springs Dam & reservoir now blocks the route in Waterton Canyon.
Alex W*lker is a shitty joke of a candidate. Supposedly running as a Democrat against Boebert in CD3, his “campaign” so far consists of a video of literal shit raining down on people of color. I’m not linking to it because I don’t want to drive traffic his way.
a) He hasn’t filed with FEC to run.
b) His website is so crappy, public schools filter it and won’t allow users to navigate to it.
c) my assumption is that he’s a fake candidate hoping to make $$ via publicity, and also to stain fellow Democratic candidates for CD3.
D) his video is literally nauseating, and you’ll never get that 60 seconds of time back.
The first I have heard of Alex Walker was literally a few hours ago when a friend of mine who lives on the east coast asked about him. Thank you for letting us know what a shitty (in every sense of the word) candidate he is.
It should be watched once. And then never again
Oh. My. God.
That was bad. Really bad. The two props I will give that video is it got the characterization of Low-Rent Barbie right on the money.
But, holy mother of God.
But it was fitting that bullshit! was the one who eventually posted it here. heh-heh-heh
In the last half century, we've gone from LBJ's notorious daisy commercial to the racist Willie Horton ad to the ghastly commercials trashing the late Max Cleland for not standing up for our military to the race-baiting stuff that came out of the Trump campaign to now a literal shit storm from Mr. Walker.
Is anyone really surprised? I'm not.
I was going to say "Jesus H. Donkey-Blowing Christ," but hey, let's not give this chucklehead any ideas for follow-up commercials.
I already have unsubscribed from his email list (not that i ever subscribed in the first place). It's a gross campaign. Last thing CD-3 needs
That was hands down, the WORST political ad I've ever seen. I wish he was a Republican. I'm afraid of him making it out of the Dem primary.
He probably actually is a Republican, or a Libertarian. He claims to be for “free choice”, but the context is mask/not mask. “ Small government that actually works” is a time-worn Reaganite meme.
The “shit in the history book” could be either pro or anti-CRT.
But he’s already getting more free media than any other Dem or moderate Republican running for CD3.
Shock jock stuff…
"let's see…how can I get attention"?
