  1. I supported Bob Beauprez very strongly in his two runs for Congress, but I’m having a real difficult time supporting him for Governor.  Imagine how the many thousands who attended the 2nd largest parade in the State (the Harvest Festival Parade in Arvada, Bob’s ‘adopted’ hometown) last Saturday morning – is the rumor correct?  Did Bob drop out of the race?  Bob wasn’t there, nor was there a single soul carrying his signs, flyers, pins, or anything else.  Come to find out by the Sunday paper that Bob was in Grand Junction Saturday night tussling with his opponent, who, incidentally, had a very large showing in the parade.

I simply cannot understand the stupidity of his campaign for allowing him to make dumb mistake after dumb mistake, starting with his refusal to support Referendum C & D because he’s got a better idea (that was not one of the choices on the ballot).  Did anyone on the campaign bother to tell him how they got Bill Owens’ support?  I know it’s hard to imagine a Republican agreeing to a compromise solution.  Couldn’t he have gotten some supporters to march in the parade?

Bob, you did so well as you learned your job in the first few months as a Congressman, why haven’t you bothered to get up to speed on Colorado issues?  Maybe you should fire them all and do it yourself!  Or is it that you just don’t even want the job?  Sorry, but it looks that way.

    1. “The attorney who defends themselves, has a fool for an attorney.”  By all indications, it would appear that BB is relying on the Republican organizatons in each county to represent him.  Problem is, by not showing you send a message that you lack support within your own party.

Same appears to have happened in El Paso County.  He’s relying on the Republican Headquarters to serve as front man at local functions.  This is a big mistake.  If you are actively engaged in the fight, others will join.  However, whenever it appears to others that you are no longer interested, others will stay home also.

As such, the lack of cordination seems to be pervasive.  Maybe the problem isn’t the people managing the Beauprez organization, maybe BB is managing it himself.  Doing what he wants, when he wants, and not doing things that he doesn’t want to do even if it will garner votes.

Reminds me of Lyndon Johnson who during the Vietnam Conflict complained that he was surrounded by a bunch of “YES” men.  Is there anyone who is willing to tell BB what he doesn’t necessarily want to hear???

Whatever the circumstances, it appears to not be working.  By the way, isn’t the idea of doing things the way that you have always done them in the hopes of obtaining a different result defined as …INSANITY???

    1. Perlmutter supporters are strong, and loud. I was happy to see their unity….It seems to me that Rick and gang might be intimidated by the numbers….They should be.

    1. Skinny Bill was there – his group was right behind Sue Windels’ group.  He didn’t get much applause (but she did).  His first term looked a lot like “what do I do now, Marc?”.  I still think he’s absolutely incapable of independent thought, just like most Republicans – they just do what they’re told – blind followers.

  2. First, 9/11, five years ago was one of the the most violent days since Gettyburg. (Since then, I think we have a new General Lee) May the dead rest in peace, and may all of the survivors and other victims of that day find some measure of peace and fulfillment in their lives. It won’t come easy.

Second, ABC/Disney should be ashamed. The fact that the $40 million production cost has to have come from somewhere, but no one is saying where, speaaks volumes. There were no corporate sponsors.

Third, there was so much defamation and slander and inaccuracy, ABC might just stand for Allbright, Berger and Clinton when the dust settles. No pun intended.
