Starting in on the weekend a bit early.
The weekend begins at 5 p.m. Friday and runs until the police break it up.
😆
I’m dating myself (still not as old as V!) but I have fond summer-time memories as a kid going round and round our fallowed fields pulling Shafer one-way plows behind a John Deere 5020, equipped with the latest technology: an Egging cab and AM radio. Every Friday at 5pm Pete Smyth would kick off the weekend with the Colorado Song!
Pete Smythe? Man…you're old…😆
Tincup High Tincup High.

IIRC, it was ‘East Tin Cup’? Wasn’t it the “smallest town in America” and had two mayors? (the other being West Tim Cup). They made Paoli look like a metropolis 🤣
Weatherman Bowman, Evan Slack. Those were the days…
Duke, I think I started driving a tractor at age 10. Once dad set the furrow around the section all I had to do was use the turning brake at each corner!). It was our version of GPS steering in those days!
Twas indeed East Tincup but just Tincup High, since the school served both metroolises. And yeah, I drove a tractor at ten but Dad would start the old Model D. for me, since it had no starter. And you needed to turn a big flywheel.
I was about that age when my Uncle John plopped my ass on the seat of that old IH Farmall and showed me how it worked.
Hey! I remember Pete Smythe, Weatherman Bowman (any relationship,Michael?) and Evan Slack, and I know I’m younger than both of you guys.
No relation that we knew of … although if we’d had 23 and Me in those days maybe we’d have discovered some common Kentucky ancestors.
Do they still use his voice announcing the DIA train stops ?
No
It’s Denver Mayor Michael Hancock at the moment (before that it was Gov Hickenlooper)
I remember that!
Word of the day from Heather Cox-Richardson: “Hoo Boy“.
No wonder Trump wanted to keep the White House documents from being published. Apparently, Sidney Powell was to be the special counsel in charge of investigating election machines seized by the National Guard.
And, why did Sidney Powell have access to the top secret Memorandum #21?
Hoo Boy, is right.
The question in my mind is…how many of his cronies are going to go down with him?
Time will tell how involved cretins like Stephen Miller, Peter Navarro, Kayley McEnany, and a host of others were. If they knew, and said nothing, they are guilty, too.
Right. In addition, how many local and State Republicans who signed on to the six "Fraudulent Electors" scheme will go down.
One way the mafia keeps you on the hook is by getting you to do something illegal or compromising. Then you have the choice of getting knee-capped or getting in deeper.
I think this goes a long way to explaining the psychological foundations of MAGA-Land.
Dec. 14 was the EC vote. Memo is dated Dec. 16. There was a meeting at the White House on Dec. 19 (Sunday evening) with Sydney Powell attending.
Seems like the state electors strategy was a more developed, integrated part of the conspiracy than it originally appeared to be.
…and EVERYTHING hinged on Mike Pence accepting those electors. No wonder they were so pissed. They had it all set up…and he blew the whole scheme.
I also just read some of these people who identified as electors have committed crimes in doing so. Perhaps facing years in prison.
Signing a ballot book can get people up to five years (well, the one case I know of was a "recidivist", and trying to vote after release from prison and before supervision and financial consequences satisfied). Wisconsin activists filed a complaint with their Election Commission and a District attorney alleging
And that is BEFORE any Federal enforcement based on the apparent similarity of documents from the 7 states we know about.
Randy Corporon frequently refers to Republicans as "God fearing".
If God is paying attention they have good reason.
God has been reliably reported as a big black Lesbian lady. The GQP should be scared shitless!

Mark Cuban launches an online pharmacy that offers more than 100 generic drugs at an affordable price, promises “radical transparency”.
A quick glance at their list found all of my prescribed medications. Listed price for all of them is less than my current co-pay for one. I realize there are some possible complications in my prescriptions that would raise the price, but first glance is enough to make me go dig for details.
And I had no idea that my prescribed medications were ALL in the top 100-ish of Cuban’s list — how very common of me.
He’s so tech savvy that he was defeated in the courts by an imaginary cow! Ttumpy only hires the best people 🤣🤣🤣
Digby has coverage of today's national anti-vax gathering in DC.
https://digbysblog.net/2022/01/23/the-anti-vax-uprising/
scary reading … anti-vaxxers, , integrating groypers, American Firsters, & Infowars. Rhetoric to draw a correspondence to the victims of Nazis. A speaker able to get antivaxxers to loudly and repeatedly cheer and agree with Louis Farrakhan. Guess-timate of crowd of more than 10,000 and less than 20,000.
Word of the day: Groyper. I had to look it up.
Sad that our vocabulary to describe the different alt-right flavors is expanding.
