    1. So, he’s thinking maybe Ttump, and January 6th, and that shit smearing army of cobbled together rabble, miscreants, and backwards thinking morons and willfully gulled fools was not just a momentary abberation? . . .

. . . but, another point in the road on which real Republicans have been marching the country towards?  For decades??

And, that racism and bigotry may play some role???

      The hell you say?? . . .

      1. …and 1/3 of our SCOTUS has been appointed by a (twice impeached) porn-star-poking failed reality tv star elected by a minority of Americans, who then attempted an overthrow of our government (the third of that trio confirmed eight days before an election where 65 million Americans had already voted).

Our democracy is on a ventilator.

        1. MichaelBowman

You left out the former *resident failed twice in his efforts to win a popular vote and never had a Gallup survey "approval" rating of 50%.

          That he and his campaign

issued what he called his “Contract with the American Voter.” This was a specific plan of action that would guide his administration, starting from the first day, and listed 60 promises. He even signed it with his distinctive signature.

And Washington Post's generous account had him keeping 19, compromised on 10, and broke 30.

That Washington Post resorted to maintaining a database of Trump's false or misleading claims, and found in his four years, Trump had 30,573 — including some that earned a created status: "Bottomless Pinocchio."  Defined as claims must have received three or four Pinocchios from The Fact Checker, and they must have been repeated at least 20 times."  Trump provided 56 of those.

          1. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time with my NewsMax-MAGA family over the holidays. They would look at. me with a blank stare at any of these facts. Let’s just say I’m glad it’s January 🤣

    2. Thanks for this article from a true patriot, skinny!  I think every Republican Party member that chooses to remain a part of that organization as it stands today should see and consider these words from that author:

America has always had more than its share of malcontents, of lunatics and violent nutters, the proudly ignorant and outright stupid, the sociopaths and the religious extremists, and while they nipped around the edges of our society, they were rightly relegated to the shadows.

Ronald Reagan and Lee Atwater and their version of The Southern Strategy brought the howling fringe into the Republican Party. But it was a war started on lies and the election of a black man to the highest office in the nation that normalized the most unhinged and brought them front and center.

There was always going to be consequences.

You can't spend decades building a political ideology based on hate and rage and not expect that there will be violence.

      And it's always — always — downhill.

An ideology of hate and rage cannot build a better society, cannot create a better world, even for itself. It can only destroy.

Those who warp reality to fit their ideology can never ever be trusted to tell the truth, or ever see it.

When you raise up ignorance, extremism, and violence as not only normal but something to be admired, then the most admired must perforce be the most ignorant, extreme, and violent.

  1. I'm going down to Black Hawk and putting my bets on the vaccine and the resistance to it as the number 2 story for Colorado Pols and the Colorado angle of the Jan 6th Insurrection as the number 1 story.  Waging is fierce on what the top two stories are going to be.

  2. Hi all;

I’m hoping someone here may know a solution for this (lots of knowledgeable people here). I’m asking this for a friend.

This friend is a U.S. citizen who lists Colorado as his U.S. domicile. But he’s in Germany and will be there for the next couple of years. He needs to get individual health insurance as he’s about to be self employed.

the problem is he’s diabetic and so he can’t get insurance in Europe as they allow preexisting exclusions there. If he lived in the U.S. then no problem.

Is there a way to get Obamacare that will cover you while you’re residing in Europe? Or some other insurance that doesn’t have exclusions for preexisting conditions?

    thanks Dave

        1. I assume he has insurance that he bought from an insurance company via the Obamacare Exchange.

Are you saying that his INSURANCE company is throwing him off, or that the Obamacare Exchange is throwing him off?

  3. It’s been nearly a week since #EmptyG was suspended from Twitter and urged the rest of the GOP to leave the platform.

Not a single one of them did.

She needs to fire 🔥 up this campaign with the heat of a bowel evacuation event following the consumption of PewPew’s pork sliders.

  4. My daughter reports her friends have devised a fool-proof, two-step plan by which the government could actually win the war on drugs.

    Step one: Legalize all drugs.

Step two: Require all drugs to be provided through Comcast Customer Service.

    1. It could be a competitive licensing process: there are other "customer service" operations who would want to try– Verizon is one I have recent experience with.

  5. Gaslighting in two acts. What a difference a year makes when you're desperately trying to deny responsibility for your attempted coup.

Top is from 2021 the day after the insurrection.  Right wingers were proud of it.
Bottom is 2022 and of course, the right wingers were just innocent little mice who were "mind controlled by the big bad "deep state"

    #Hatriots

  6. Inhabitants of the Central Great Plains are a funny bunch. Today in a dispensary a man was asked to put on his mask. He responded, “I’m from Texas and we don’t have all of these freedumb-killing regulations where I’m from”. The budtender responded: “possession of weed in Texas is a felony, no?”

Meanwhile in Nebraska. Sylvia Driskell, acting as her own lawyer and the ambassador of “God, And His, Son Jesus Christ,” is asking the courts to determine that homosexuality is a sin.

Also in Nebraska, they have become the first red state to establish a zero-carbon goal for their energy sector (and you’d pry their socialist public power grid from their cold, dead MAGA hands).

(If that wasn’t enough you can peruse the present environmental disaster in progress that is affecting communities from North Dakota to Texas).
