      1. Our very own Klete made the headlines in the LA Times today (he’s a USC grad)

Hundreds of pages of court records, emails and interviews with more than 30 friends, teammates and associates show that Keller’s journey to the Capitol was the latest and most bewildering choice in a life beset by struggles since retiring from swimming more than a decade ago. A revolving series of jobs. Divorce. Living in his car for 10 months. A bitter child custody dispute. Allegations of erratic behavior.

      1. And it was tweeted at 8:30 in the morning.  Subsequently, she has sworn that she had no advance knowledge that the Capital would be breached.  So why the bold proclamation for revolution?

  1. Colorado's contributions, according to Insurrection Index, include 4 elected officials and 11 charged in the Washington DC Capitol violence.,

I've already sent a couple of notes urging them to broaden by including a category for state-wide party leaders (committee and staff) and some of the additional elected officials backing Tina Peters, Mike Lindell, and the "Stop the Steal" efforts.  Add your favorites in an email to. info@insurrectionindex.org.

    1. It's funny that Dave (s@#tstain) Williams is primarying Lamborn (presumably from the right).  Since, you would think Lamborn would pass the test of being a loyal Trumpian MAGAt soldier.  What does Williams offer that Lamborn doesn't?  Aside from being worse than him in every conceivable way.  Which when talking about Lamborn is saying something.

  2. I remember January 6. This is what I said then: "Holy Crap. Trump's statement was ridiculous. He still says the election was stolen, but go home… Even Liz Cheney is appalled that he said he loved those people." I watched my Representative (Boebert) stand on the floor of the House and say that her constituents were right outside the building when she was protesting the vote. Earlier she had tweeted "Today is 1776" Later she tweeted the position of the Speaker. I have promised Boebert that I will do every legal thing I can think of to make sure she is a one term Representative.

  3. ” The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants”

                                     Thomas Jefferson

    1. Somehow, I fail to see how a man who owned more than 600 slaves should be seen as an expert on liberty.  Only Patrick Henry was a bigger hypocrite than Thomas Jefferson.

      1. A Founding Father who (channeling my inner Madison Cawthorn) would be shocked to learn we’ve created a “thing” called 23 and Me Who???

  4. Mike Pence is an American hero.  He resisted relentless pressure to not certify the election.  Importantly, he refused Secret Service orders to leave the Capitol while the mob was hunting him down because he believed he would not be allowed to return to the Capitol to finish the certification that day.  His statue should stand beside a statue of James Clyburn (who endorsed Joe Biden) as heroes in Statuary Hall.

    1. A single day’s responsible behavior does not a “hero” make.

      (Sorry, David Bowie, . . . still, it’s a great song.)

And, just how heroic has Mother’s boy been these past 364 days? . . .

      1. When it really absolutely mattered, and under enormous pressure, Pence made the right decision. He spoke with none other than Dan Quayle and sorted through things that day and refused to turn our country into some bullshit lawless banana republic. I’ll give them both credit for that, but only that !

        1. I'm with you, Meltdown. He has a long history of doing exactly the wrong thing for bad reasons, but I'll give him credit for this. He's an institutionalist. We could use more of them these days.

      2. Ms Lindsay getting the vapors over POTUS’ remarks this morning.  It’s almost like he forgot we have the interwebs and it’s magic memory box??
