From TNTSNBN – Mike Littwin provides a compelling argument as to the long term impact of OWS.

Soapblox (the blogging platform Pols uses) has a comment rating system. Pols doesn’t use it, but if they did, then if a comment was downrated enough then they would be hidden from view to most users. Only users granted “trusted user” status would be able to view them.
I love Steve Harvey’s brain but due to extreme internet information overload, can only handle tweet-sized ideas sometimes. We should all lobby Steve Harvey to tweet. Whaddayasay?
And maybe to us, if he tries to fit more words in by taking out all the vowels and excessive consonants and using other leet-speak shortcuts.
let’s all commit seppuku? — it’s even quicker and less painful.
and make the journey east to the US Capitol, line up all ” Supercommittee ” members and pepper spray the living shit out of all of them.
They deserve it.
Surprising many, Obama tries to engage in the process by threatening a veto of any attempt to stop the $1.2 billion in automatic cuts.
If he can control the 247 media cycle he just might own the story thru next November, of course he’ll still need to energize his base, which remains an issue.

Mercedes Executive Arrested Under Alabama Immigration Law
The article says it all:
Good thing Alabama passed the nation’s toughest immigration law: No longer can Mercedes-Benz executives drive around the state with impunity.
Upon hearing of the incident, Alabama governor Robert Bentley called the state’s homeland security director to find out what had happened, the Washington Post reports. But there was no mistake; the arrest was exactly what was supposed to happen under the law that Bentley signed earlier this year. And, presumably, it’s what now happens on a routine basis to other, less-prominent people around the state, whether in the country legally or not.

Study Shows Fox News Viewers Less Informed on Major Stories
University Prof: No news better than Fox News when it comes to information.
After controlling for factors like partisanship, education, and other demographic factors, the pollsters found that Fox New viewers were 18 points less likely to know that the (Egyptian) revolt was successful than their non-active news consuming counterparts. Fox News viewers were also 6 points less likely to know that the Syrian uprising has yet to succeed.
No really – it’s got to be difficult to come up with a “news” broadcast that not only retains viewership, but at the same time manages to feed out so much crap that it actually lowers its viewers’ knowledge level. Either that or it’s permanently killing off brain cells.
A particularly virulent form of the disease generally associated with excessive exposure to TV.
