Today is National Mule Day. V gets another day in his honor.
I prefer mine in the communist form, liquid and in a cold copper mug.
2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
3 ounces ginger beer, chilled
Garnish: lime wheel
My favorite is the London mule.
Made with gin?
2 ounces gin

Hey, you two! Recipes are my lane, unless it's made with cannabis. Then it's all Bowman's.
Sorry, skinny…l will yield to Mr. B if it is made with Hemp. I will stake a claim when it starts with a "C".
I’m using Purgatory vodka!!!!!
Before noon?!
😉
Yep.
Ooooh…me…Gin. Can't happen.
Gordons' and Tahitian Treat….I lost $40 and 4 hrs. that afternoon
Oy.
Gordons' and Tahitian Treat ? What the hell ???
Fraternity rush…1971…University of South Florida.
10 ft. tall and bullet proof. A tub full of intoxication. Not sure it was Gordons' gin, it matters none.
Youth…is wasted on the young !
"it matters none……"
Maybe it was a tub of Old Dynamite. I did a couple of those parties in college: have one tub iced down. Everybody bringing alcohol pours it into the community container no matter what it is. If you wanted to go cheap wine, that meant MadDog or Thunderbird. If you went for cheaper beer, it was Falls City. Then off you go……..
Yes, meltdown, it is. But retirement is wasted on the old. They ought to let people work until they’re 40, then give them 20 years off at full pay to enjoy life with their friends and families. Let them go back to work at 60 for as long as they enjoy it.
That looks like a great variation! I’ll have to try it!
Hey Michael, I just picked this up and didn't want you and Duke to miss it: https://www.reuters.com/business/cop/rocky-mountain-high-us-looks-colorado-methane-emissions-policy-2021-10-24/
Thanks, skinny!
Good stuff, skinny. Thanks.
Methane emissions are a terribly important issue owing to the potency of the substance as a greenhouse gas. It was a big issue in Colorado long ago, hence our leadership in that arena.
Once again, the stories some folks like to tell about that are only marginally true. The major players in the methane rules saga want to take credit for something they HAD to do.
The Weld County drift from the gas fields into the city of Denver had gotten so bad, Denver was routinely violating clean air standards. Faced with massive fines from the Feds, they submitted plans to fix things they have been hounded about for decades.
The big three polluters in the area of concern
( the Julesburg Basin, I think) started making changes, I’m told, that have made progress. Of course, Governor Frackenlooper tried to take credit for something he would not have done if not forced into it. That’s how the OilyBoyz have always done it.
Don’t mules live in Barnes?
😈
The Mule was a disruptor in Asimov's Foundation trilogy.
Still among the all-time greats of SF.
Often imitated but Seldon equaled.
I see what you did there…
Actually, Issac's writing is very stilted.
Of course I read every SF word he wrote. And, enjoyed them.
Read his book about the Bible, Dave.
I think you’d find it intersting.
" I have given up all thought of writing poetically or symbolically or experimentally, or in any of the other modes that might (if I were good enough) get me a Pulitzer prize. I would write merely clearly and in this way establish a warm relationship between myself and my readers, and the professional critics—Well, they can do whatever they wish"
No wonder you like him so much He's a sore Pul-loser too!
