Today is Dano Appreciation Day. We salute his hard work in sharing insights on the vital apportionment process.

Protecting our Democracy from Fascist s is more important than Dave’s cookie fetish. But I admit it’s close.
I’m in NYC for some of the Climate Week activities and last night had the opportunity to attend the ‘Together We Rise’ event highlighting the leadership of women in the climate movement. Colorado’s own Sally Ranney knocked it out of the park with her presentation as did Mary Robinson, past president of Ireland.
Al Gore made a very uplifting presentation as well. He’s been proven right about his predictions on the climate over the last two decades. It makes one wonder where we’d be today had those 537 Floridians not decided the fate of that election. Would we have tackled this existential threat earlier? Would we have eschewed the idea of endless wars and nation building for other options more fruitful. We’ll never know, but it’s a worthy mental exercise and a stark reminder that ‘every vote counts’
The first thing that occurs to me is that the PDB shortly before the 9/11/01 attack just might have been acted on, preventing the attack or at least reducing its impact in some way. Then, if we weren't sidetracked by endless wars and nation-building we might have concentrated a little more on dealing with the climate crisis. That's what I believe.
My thoughts exactly.
